I imagine they've agreed to hand back power once political rule is restored, and ECOWAS have said they'll remove sanctions/restrictions once back to normal, probably now they've just got to sort out the process of getting a new government and how that's done fairly for all concerned (probably the trickiest bit). Talks are reported as progressing well 99% of the time even when they fail :p (just see Brexit deals!)

gold - I agree with that, to an extent (as mentioned below), so you're both right (as Ronnie Barker would say : ways and means), however they're pushing it a bit now :p

They have to release the COPD and an NDA is irrelevant as CW25 says. There are rules regarding getting temporary exemptions for releasing news (if doing so would jeopardise something) but I don't believe this would apply in this case since the people in those deals have probably asked to see that raw data anyway and the only people you'd be withholding the news from is market participants (ie us lot). I've not changed my stake here for quite a while now but if COPD was good I'd be a lot more comfortable with adding more back. My concern remains is that they don't want to release it before a deal, if they can do, one, because it's probably alright but won't appear as good as the COVID data (due to COVID directly inhibiting IFN-B production). So they probably could see a fall based upon it and are trying to drag out the analysis/release of the news till the latest moment they can get away with to try to get a deal done before then.
If a deal is done before then it matters less what the market thinks of those results.

I know Frank's stuff has gone (seems a bit aggressive moderation unless sommt dodgy was said). Probably irritated some people mentioning other stocks I guess but personally I wasn't aware of "Relief Therapeutics", and to be fair their share price has gone up 1800% in the past month, and is now valued at around $1.5bn. So they've had their big rise already but clearly the market is taking them as a serious contender with that kind of valuation now.

CW25 - I agree. It's a rather annoying time to be trying to trade up and being rather wedded to an area in London. If it was just me and could work from anywhere I'd be out in a mansion in the sticks ;)

Tradingview will let you add volume as an indicator. Currently not massively different to usual. Arguably slightly up but nothing like the high volume days. Of course if there's any background trading that might not be reflected till later so can't really judge.

Damn you CW25......for reminding me what you get for your money outside of London! I'm considering trading upwards, and probably stuck round here due to job/family etc, and I'd love a place half that size for the same money!

Having said that, I don't blame them, it's a bit of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

Problem with that kind of RNS is, it's a statement of the pretty much obvious, it won't allay any concerns about what's going to happen, and probably has just informed a few more people of the situation who might not have yet noticed.

Yeah - I wouldn't like to call things over the coming days/weeks now. Good bounce from 30p (as I mentioned earlier might happen). However selling was picking up again into the close. Could easily go either way. Some people will have seen the rising tensions news immediately but others won't. Some might even have bought not knowing what's going on (and others despite this). Anyone got any other favourite goldies? (in production). Might add some elsewhere if this might be suppressed for a bit.

The closing price was 240. Anything else is wrong.

I don't really understand the slating of Betts but HUM was too cheap before this happened. So it's not really about being cheap. More that people will protect themselves and see how things shape up in Mali in the short term. I think it's impossible to call the price in the short term. Could hit 30p and bounce or could see weakness for a while. Will probably depend on whether all the large holders hold (or even the medium sized ones if they do). Not easy to predict that.

I don't imagine that'll be top of their list to speak about (which is the problem). There may be zero impact but the fear of it might linger for a while until things settle down. Very annoying considering how well gold is going (and the irony HUM have been in the process of diversifying!) Couldn't they have waited a couple of years ;)
