One of the reports from around July 2021 stated that Nebula witheld deposits totalling £10 million which at 3% would need one half of the total Valkyrie/AMR Pro/Spider to have been sold by them. Who knows the truth, certainly none of us on the sidelines.

I did read sometime ago that the agreement was for a 10 year period covering the three mid engined cars that AML were planning to produce. Valkyrie and Valhalla may bring revenue of £1.3 - £1.4 billion, although this only commenced 9 months ago. That at best would yield £42 million over probably the next two and a half years. How much did Nebula keep in deposits I am not aware. One would imagine that the Valkyrie deposits would have been a significant percentage - considerably more than the 3% royalty agreement. As for the third car little has been released, although will it be the rumoured electric vehicle planned for 2025. The original agreement was written in 2016 so there was only a further four years to run.

Just to put some meat on the bone, the Ferrari will be twice the price of the 707 and deliveries are about 12 months away.

Comparing the first 7 months of this year with 2021, the UK and Europe sales for AML are 1230 v 1219. That's with all the problems with the Ukraine war and shortage of components/chips.

Comparing July 2022 with 2021 for sales in GB and Europe, the figures are 204 v 159. I don't have August figures. These figures are for the 4 core models. Valkyrie will be in addition to these.

I read very recently that build slots for the Valhallah are being offered by a specialist in Germany for around $1.2 million, with delivery expected in December 2023. The UK list price is about £570,000 plus taxes. Total production will be 999 units.

I'm astonished that someone has the time and inclination to sort through umpteen postings and itemise the individual details of prices and purchases going back the best part of 18 months. We'll all have our own opinions as to the merits of the two forms of propulsion, but it's interesting to note that the forthcoming all electric 7 series BMW weighs well in excess of 4 original classic minis. By the time four passengers have seated themselves inside you have a vehicle weighing north of three tons.
Of course there have been gas conversions running on our roads for decades and so the concept is tried and tested. With over 130 years of development behind the internal combustion engine, the efficiency has never been higher and in many countries the concept of battery power remains a non starter for the masses.

Another scribe's opinion and since it's the Q division's ten year anniversary celebration, then so what. They'll sell because they're as rare as hens teeth. Doubtful if any of this took away the focus on the next generation Vantage/DB11/DBS. But they'll be a nice money earner. Did the Victor take away precious resources at a crucial time. Without re-reading various articles, I should point out that Porsche, BMW and Audi (A6, A7, A8, R8) have all closed factories this year or heavily reduced working hours due to component shortages. Plus, VW, Mini......................

You're the one with the difficulty, c26. This year's targetted production is sold, no matter how much you twist and wriggle.

Furthermore, if you add the 350 DBX 707 that are built but just awaiting a few components to the H1 figures, Aston Martin need to make 30% more vehicles in H2 than they did in H1. A very different figure from your 50%. It all depends on how you want to choose to present the numbers, or the impression you want to make. But sell and make are two very different words.

There you go again, c26. They need to make, not sell, as the required number of cars is already sold. UK is pretty much on plan. The constraints have been certain component supplies and earlier in the year, shipping delays. You're trying to present a lack of sales as being the issue and it is not, but it suits your narrative.

It's interesting how phrasing a sentence imparts a different meaning or interpretation of figures. Aston Martin don't need to sell 50% more cars for the remainder of the year to hit their figures. They need to make 50% more cars in H2 as the required number of cars has already been sold. The reason the numbers were below plan in H1 was due to supply issues and the company has recently stated several times, including at H2 results, that year end figures would be achieved. As for UK sales only being ahead 7% of last year's - that is near enough what they need to achieve, even with supply issues.

Why on earth ooopsy! Shows there are plenty of people out there who are prepared to pay a high premium who couldn't get on the original short list to buy from the factory. Rather says to me there's a very strong market at the very high end of the spectrum. Also good to hear the level of intent for the Valhalla which is due in 2024. Gather that's a £700,000 vehicle before options. Say around £800 million over two years at 40%.

c26, Tobias Moers stated end Q1/beginning Q2 2023 for the Sports/GT cars. Autocar in very late Feb had a feature on the new models, stating a reveal at end 2022 and Car and Driver repeated this.

No he didn't and you know that to be the case.

Gini, never focused on the new Sports/GTs being manufactured in 2022. It was said previously there would be a reveal in late '22 with launch and production early '23. If you want further information on this feel free to write to Customer Relations. I have several times over the last couple of years.
