Sean, much of the ‘power’ to determine where this share ultimately goes, lies with our directors. They could facilitate some form of sale tomorrow if it suited them ? We’ve seen a lifestyle situation enduring for years now - directors earning fat salaries while shareholders lose value.
I for one would like to see our company acting to maximise shareholder value. Just my opinion of course ….
I think that most of us can agree that the current share price is a farce, and way under valued - when compared to the potential asset value in the ground ?
As shareholders, we surely need our directors to sort this out !?
No more (apparent) lifestyle milking of shareholders year after year.
Please get on and deliver some significant shareholder value !!!

Ray I don’t need to be hearing any criticism from you - as someone who’s only been here for a relatively short time. I’m on record over the ~ 9 years I’ve been invested in solg of being both upbeat and critical of the way this company has been run. Best wind your neck in mate ;)
Hi Bubble - and well said mate ! We have to enjoy our life while waiting for our investments to come good.
Will Solg come good ? Huge question that imo. Approaching 9 years invested here and I continue to get exasperated at the board of directors performance - or apparent lack of !!
Our massive ~ 800 workforce is still there eating our bank balance - and what do shareholders get for it? Silence from our board.
Not good enough!
I still hold & still believe in the Solg story ultimately coming good. But it’s a very trying journey !!

Sean cheer up mate, June has indeed come and gone but so what? It might happen in July or August? I do remain confident that a bid or at least a JV will happen soon - and probably directly after the SP has been taken down ? As far as I’m concerned, I’ve been in this share far too long to be ‘out’ or partially out when it hopefully happens. I’d kick myself more in that scenario than I will holding at a lower SP. But it’s everyone’s choice how they see and play this game. Atb
Why is the SP enjoying relative strength against historical fallbacks? Is something actually happening behind the scenes or is this just speculative buying based on a June bid possibly forthcoming? Or is it based on the precious metals markets coming increasingly into focus? Who knows, but I’m enjoying it. Let’s hope things heat up as the summer progresses & the sunshine continues as it has today :)
Ray, I think that some people on the brink of starvation because of the financial crisis - or any other reason for that matter, might indeed see £500 as ‘serious money’ . It’s all relative and they might indeed find your post to be ‘offensive’ ? Remember the saying about stones & glass houses mate !
I’m all for paying the right remuneration package for the right people - but with the caveat that they MUST deliver the goods; both in terms of their own performance and maximising shareholder value. Let’s sincerely hope that the ‘fresh-look’ SolGold comes good ! It’s certainly looking promising imv.
I’m well over 50% down but still holding. Am I stupid? Quite possibly. But the demise of the sp seems completely counter intuitive to me. Anyway, I invested what I was able and prepared to lose and I shall stand by it. Gla holders
Colonel - you can’t polish a xxxx and this was one of those imho. How can that amount of money have been taken out under the radar? Checks & balances non-existent? Paints a very poor picture of how the company was being run at that time.
Thank goodness we’ve had a new CEO since the relevant time frames, or else there really could have been carnage for the sp today.
And I’m with add in wondering what if any consequences there will be for the alleged offender(s). Surely a criminal investigation? And surely the alleged ‘perps’ are long-gone?
Nevertheless a decent blue day to end a rough week.
All in my humble opinion of course.
