@ iG
I’ve not seen you posting here before ? Are you a newbie investor in BOD?
Upon looking at your posting history, you seem to be very positive most if not all of the time in all shares you post on? What’s your ‘win-rate’ might I ask, if you don’t mind.
You are expecting a fast move higher soon in the BOD sp? What do you see as being the catalyst to move this share upwards in the near-term?
I’m just checking to make sure in my own mind as a LTH, that you’re not here to pump what might be your own agenda, for a 10 or 20% profit?
Atb
1984 I tend to agree with you about what proven assets this company has, their asset value, and at what stage their market value will be maximised.
Too much bias given to the copper reserves here (albeit stellar) and insufficient given to the gold and silver? The silver reserves seem to be often forgotten.
Of these 3 precious metals, copper may not be the one to deliver most profit in the shorter term?
My only (slight) consolation at this continued diving of the share price, is that I always suspected that such a thing would happen ahead of a bid. These things do happen and then a big rerate takes place upon the initial bid and subsequent bids. Cold comfort though - and that’s even if a bid really is coming??
As has so often been the case, things are as clear as the thickest of mud for SolGold shareholders and uncertainty rules ok. Shouldn’t be like this !
Echo I hear you.
I totally understand that you’ve nailed your colours to James’s mast. And that’s your prerogative.
Fwiw, were I James, I wouldn’t have put such a low placing price on existing shareholders.
But you’re correct, James now needs to deliver the goods.
Let’s hope his hopefully imminent news delivers a 100% sp uplift :)
BBG I was being sarcastic in my last post. My recent top up is already well underwater. How can you claim it’s a gift that keeps on giving? I’m also hugely down on my overall average.
You reckon one quid will be achieved? I’ll certainly have some if whatever you’re on mate lol
Hi BBG I thought the same when I topped up around 10p a few weeks back. I’m assuming our Directors had a similar sentiment when they too bought around those levels.
How many shares have you/will you be buying at these ‘bargain’ levels?
Herein lies the problem imv when existing shareholders are effectively carved up by such a low placing. Many will already have spent their hard earned buying or topping up at considerably higher prices and may not be able or willing to throw more in at current levels. New investors can question what’s happened and be put off. It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I thought things were moving along nicely on my own investing account but now find my holding considerably underwater.
Now, I don’t wish to be overly dour and critical because it’s pointless. A company will do what it’s going to do.
And I’m not doubting that the share price can rise significantly again from here, if and when good news is released. But it’s going to have to be great news to drag us back up to a penny - at which point many of the placing shares and those bought in the open market may be sold, or have already been sold.
Time will tell but I hope the company delivers great news and soon. We don’t want the sp languishing down at these levels for long because in my experience a low sp can become a bad habit.
Aimho, best of luck to all
Red, I’ve recently tried to keep my charting interest alive about the SolGold chart but have virtually given up because I too feel that the share price is being manipulated - for whatever ends - and by whoever. Shorters? Longers? It’s an easy accusation to make of course but this isn’t the first time such suspicions have been raised by posters on this bb about these manipulation games. Who knows ?? It’s a murky world isn’t it ??
It’s good to see continued optimism by many posters. Indeed there is a huge amount to be optimistic about regarding our assets. Maybe 2024 will finally be the year that this company realises its journey and finds a buyer at a fair price. Groundhog Day? We’ve certainly been here rather too many times before with false dawns. But maybe us shareholders really are on the cusp of the goods finally being delivered and vindication of months and years of faith. Faith might I add, that has and continues to be stretched to the limit for many - myself included.
Keep ‘em all crossed folks :D
Bozi I take your point of view, but surely you have to accept the counter argument too? Imv this company has for far too long failed to give ‘the market’ what it always craves : news, reassurance, positivity & CERTAINTY. How many years have we honestly been virtually starved of updates and information about what’s happening with OUR investment/money as shareholders? I’m honestly not sure after all of these years as to how things have come to be so poor in this share for shareholders. And to those who seek to polish a xxxx need a dose of reality imho.
But I also hear you about current negativity (probably) being counter productive.
In short, investor fatigue is certainly rife here by many including myself and it appears you too. Who can blame us? But what I feel in my bones, is that shareholders must be treated with more respect moving forward and kept in the loop. Just my ho of course
Any chance that posters can stop getting so personal? Upon the approach to the AGM, feelings understandably heighten about which way to vote, but we are entering the season of goodwill. Please live and let live guys, and accept that each of us can post our thoughts & preferences whilst respecting other posters, and without being personally attacked by other posters.
Chill & enjoy the season guys ;)
I can’t say that I’m very surprised at the low level of this placing, but I can’t say that I’m very chuffed about it either. Wouldn’t it have been nice to have had some (expected/anticipated) good news released, resulting in a rise in the share price, and then a placing - thereby causing less dilution to us existing shareholders.
But I’ve been around the AIM block long enough to know that’s not how things are most often done. I get that those buying the placing shares want a good deal, but I do feel that it could have been achieved at a higher price. There’s now a 100% rise needed just to get the sp back to 1p.
Let’s hope that the good news we all hope for is real and comes along quickly after the placing date of December 11th !!
All imho & gla
