Bozi I don’t think anyone in the ‘bid’ camp is wanting to flip the company over to the first bidder. I can only speak for myself but I’d like to see an initial bid then some sort of auction leading to higher prices.
I wonder how many more years you, Copperpot & Quady et.al are prepared to wait for this to come to fruition? I’m into my 9th year of investing my money & time in solg and tbh I sometimes wish I’d never heard of the company lol.
I certainly hope that the new CEO can speed up the pace and deliver shareholder value sooner rather than later.
Yes Ray the UK and US and others could well be on the cusp of recession, and who knows how deep & long it could last? But at such times, investors look for value & safety, and I’d argue that the sp is low enough to attract investment based on the proven value solg has in the ground. We’ll see …
A 20p placing would be a rubbish fund raise imv. I sincerely hope the company has more respect for shareholders than that!
I hope not to see a placing at all and for the finance to be raised in other ways. If a placing is to be done then let’s have it at the very lowest at 25p and better at 29p. And let’s have it open to private investors too.
A real shame after all of these years of drilling and with the assets we have here, that the sp is still scrabbling around at these low levels.
Bonkers hear hear.
Many thanks from me too, to the 3 guys. Good work !
Hear hear Damers !
We can only hope that a bid comes in and soon. I don’t think it’ll initially be from BHP or NCM though. We need fresh money to come in and shake the tree big time.
And where are the JVs we’ve heard about for soooo long? Come on solg !
Ray you’ve done well in hindsight - but it doesn’t alter the fact that had a bid over 40p come in since the PFS, you’d have been out in the cold - particularly if the shares were suspended pending the bid analysis.
I get the feeling that you are a short term trader? If so that’s fine. But be clear about it and let’s not be having stuff from you about no bids for SolGold this year. Fair enough?
Anyway, enough from me for tonight. Let’s see something positive from the company soon please. And I’m not talking about multiple roadshow presentations - I’ve never really understood them for relatively longer-running small caps like solgold, because surely those that want/need to know about our resources already do so?
Who knows? Gla holders/buyers ;)
Please don’t respond to massive ray or anyone else seeking a lower share price, on Padmaster’s research header/topics. Because if the thread is removed by Admin, then so is Pad’s great research - just what the trolls want of course !
I can’t deny being pretty ….ed-off that the share price is back at 25p again after the great PFS. It’s simply ridiculous. Feels like the PFS didn’t actually happen! But the gloating trolls wouldn’t be gloating had a bid come in at a decent price since then!! Nobody but nobody knows as a private investor, whether a bid will or won’t arrive. Neither those in the no camp, or those in the yes camp (like me).
I keep the faith that something will soon give here, and a bidder or multiple bidders will buy my shares for £1+ :)
Pad many thanks for your stellar research. Most refreshing !
The question is often asked (as it was today) why a major would want to bid for SolGold or at least a part of it, at this point in time, rather than waiting and letting SolGold take the strain. Well an answer might be that time is money. The majors / those seeking to acquire these precious assets have to balance waiting and waiting for SolGold to attempt to prove these up by themselves, or buying now and bringing things to production much quicker via their financial & operational muscle = monetisation much sooner for them. I guess it comes down to their view on how the market/demand for commodities will play out and the relevant timeframes.
Red I agree, if we are to have a fund raise - which seems virtually inevitable imo - then let’s get on with it. The earlier than expected PFS (notwithstanding its historic delays) was a positive move. Let’s keep the momentum going.
A very frustrating couple of days following the PFS. Almost as if the PFS hadn’t happened. But it did and it can’t be taken away.
IF a fund raise is to be done then please let’s have it done & dusted pronto and at a respectable price which reflects the great PFS. 29 or 30p would be acceptable imv but why not have one at a premium to sp? SolGold have done so before.
Have a good weekend all holders.
Thanks DBW, articles like this should be the start of a positive upwards re-rate in the perception of the company by the market imo. The previous delay in the pfs has undoubtedly been a big drag on the sp but all of that has been blown away today. You can almost feel the potential bidders doing the maths and calculating where to pitch their first bid. I mentioned Elon Musk the other day as a potential bidder and I stick by it. I’ve clearly no idea whether he or his Tesla team are currently researching further sources of copper and gold - very likely imho - or have ever heard of SolGold, but his involvement either as a bidder or investor would bring worldwide awareness of SolGold imv. If anyone has his ear on twitter, please give him on nod in our direction ;)
