I wouldn't want to speak on behalf of Mr Wilson but such articles would surely be counter productive, if AVCT weren't themselves delivering the solutions that he talks about.

A cruise ship would need several units for different floors, staff sections etc so could need anywhere between 20 to 50 units, the potential is massive.

On the animation on twitter I believe there were as many as 4 cartridges that can be used to spot 4 specific pathogens and the reagents/affimers need to be changed monthly so decent recurring revenue too. Also I imagine the AI will be subject to recurring revenues too.
Imagine cruise ships, large resorts, prisons, care homes, hospitals, and then in waste water of towns and larger areas to identify hot spots. It could become the norm and this will be gold standard and even once Covid has abated it’s something that will be needed and the norm. That’s why they’re using AVCT’s Affimers as they’re easily created to identify new threats so kind of future proofing too.

Yep it looks like they had a large order in and filled it which is why the rise was so modest. Fair play to the accumulator but kinda frustrating looking at MWG’s rise. All good, sure there’s plenty of news in the coming weeks.

I doubt the initial Covid tests will be ready for weeks yet given the program development, safety checks etc etc. Anyway, looking strong here and I assume they’ll update us along the way but the real-time monitoring could be transformational for SKIN, MWG and society.

Impaired type I interferon activity and inflammatory responses in severe COVID-19 patients Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is characterized by distinct patterns of disease progression suggesting diverse host immune responses. We performed an integrated immune analysis on a cohort of 50 COVID-19 patients with various disease severity. A unique phenotype was observed in severe and critical patients, consisting of a highly impaired interferon (IFN) type I response (characterized by no IFN-β and low IFN-α production and activity), associated with a persistent blood viral load and an exacerbated inflammatory response. Inflammation was partially driven by the transcriptional factor NF-κB and characterized by increased tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-6 production and signaling. These data suggest that type-I IFN deficiency in the blood could be a hallmark of severe COVID-19 and provide a rationale for combined therapeutic approaches. Based on our study, we propose that type I IFN deficiency is a hallmark of severe COVID-19 and infer that severe COVID-19 patients might be potentially relieved from the IFN deficiency by IFN administration and from exacerbated inflammation by adapted anti-inflammatory therapies targeting IL-6 or TNF-α, a hypothesis worth cautious testing.

No worries and I recommend scanning through at least a year’s RNSs before investing. This and SKIN has a bright future albeit it’s taken a while for MWG to start realising the potential of its super protected tech.

They’ll have cash from the £1.85m Feb placing I imagine And they’ve had some warrants exercised too so more cash coming in. With the SKIN agreement on reagents MWG doesn’t incur any costs and takes 60% of the profit. The raise enabled them to fulfil a large order from China which should be shipped in this Q so that’s more cash. Let’s see what the post YE AR commentary says but I’d be disappointed if they need more cash given the reduction in their costs and raise only in Feb.

Looking ugly here. Perhaps antibody tests will be a short term thing and antigen will be the way forward, particularly ones like Sona and possibly AVCT.

SKIN initially using the superb Microtox product and some 3,000 to be retrofitted and no doubt the demand will be massive for new clients which will Be great for both. Both PLCs will be getting on more and more radars.

They’re very much two PLCs, GB is the CEO here and non-exec chairman there so is a lot more hands on here although is clearly influencing strategy there.

Two amazing PLCs with super technology that’s gold standard and combining them re real-time monitoring will be another game changer and disrupt the market. My understanding is that SKIN AI will be bolted on to MWG’s monitoring kit so an immediate route to their existing clients and I imagine demand will be massive for new clients.

I think GB was tweeting about SKIN but it could well be linked with MWG. An interesting week ahead surely.

The negotiations will be complicated but given the urgency I’m sure they’re accelerating and surely news in the next couple of weeks. I’m going for 2 RNSs next week. The sooner the better.

It’s Saturday and I expect the BBs will pick up tomorrow ahead of the week. I expect 2 RNSs, one re LFT and one on BAMS. Which comes first is anyone’s guess but it’ll be 3 weeks of optimising the LFT on Weds so perhaps that will be the first.

In addition to the new application of using saliva from Optigene being piloted in Southampton, we are currently exploring the potential of other no-swab saliva-based coronavirus tests with companies, including Chronomics, Avacta, MAP Science and Oxford Nanoimaging (ONI).
