Proactive Interview 11th June ;

Cytiva don't optimise with patient samples.

On schedule means optimisation complete by end of June.

Today's announcement isn't 1 week ahead of schedule, it is a leg on a journey to the end of June target.

If correct then more announcements due very shortly.

That all aside, they've achieve it.

Yesterday reaffirmed the final prototype will be ready by end of June so they’re expecting the optimisation to take a week or less which makes sense. Great news and massively derailed (although yesterday did that for me). Onwards and upwards and more news due any day too. Too risky time trade for me.

Klaus sounded like a bit of a perfectionist on the panel so the below makes for positive reading.

The exciting thing is more news is due, what’s next, BAMS manufacturing deals, a JV re neutralising the protein? Onwards and upwards but the strip will work and hopefully optimisation is a few days and hopefully completed in the next few days.

They’ve been working on the miniaturisation of the real-time water mounting for a while now and I’m sure once testing is in the very final stages we’ll hear of OEMs to ensure we don’t been a huge capital raise to manufacture and can accelerate production capacity which demand will surely necessitate.

They said they’re already in talks so no surprise there given the business model.

#AVCT just stated (23rd June) that their prototype will be ready by end of June and they're aiming for a "high performance test," which means NPV of 99.9% when used in the general population.

Big big statement.

The NPV for the AVCT LFT test has been playing on my mind ever since Dr Smith honed in on it during the Proactive interview Q&A.

Now the understanding is much clearer.

The +95% sensitivity also ties in with Klaus Hochleitner's comments in Labroots webinar on min. spec.

Whilst clinical validation will ultimately decide this, in my opinion the modelling done to date, must be demonstrating that it is possible to achieve the high performance test criteria.

Otherwise why go there in the week leading up to it?

The video clearly demonstrates that at low prevalence (<2%), even a mid performance test can be employed for mass screening but could lead to significant number of false positives and as stated potential litigation (flights cancelled etc).

However, for workplaces it would still be relevant as businesses weighed up the surety over a safe workforce, compared to more staff needing to stay at home.

So that's the safety marker on guaranteeing strong sales because it would still sell well.

However, as stated, on 23rd June, when the prototype process is nearing its end, AVCT are still pulling a Babe Ruth and pointing to the area of the stands holding the +95% sensitivity test.

If that comes to pass, sales will indeed be astronomical.

Given they’re in close contact with Cytiva we can be sure of at least 90% and 95% specificity snd sensitivity and still on track for end of June. Given how close we are to the end of June it’s surely unlikely the deadline will be missed.

Seeing these kind of articles is great. All can see testing wastewater is the way ahead re managing hot spots and trying to be more proactive.
I’m sure if real-time monitoring is launched this autumn why would anyone collect samples for analysis when it can be done 24/7 in real-time? Huge opportunity and great recurring revs for SKIN. Rinocloud looks the bargain of the century!

At the massive opportunity and the fact some will always be negative. Asking about funding production is a good question but throwing figures out there re dilution is nonsense and scare mongering. We know SKIN is a collaborative co and needs to be in order to effectively capitalise on opportunities so good to hear OEMs are on the agenda and not surprising,

The size of a set top box so the demand will be huge so we could be ready end of Sept ready for flu season. Remember even without Covid real-time monitoring will be the gold standard and they’ll be able to add new pathogens to the mix as and when necessary.

Recurring revenues for the equipment are expected to be generated through the sale of consumable test cartridges, AI-as-a-Service predictive alerts and equipment maintenance contracts.
Recognising the needs of a post-Pandemic environment
Given the enforcement that is widely expected from international governments in order to protect their populations in a post-Pandemic environment, Integumen’s unique real-time detection/identification skills and capabilities are likely to remain in significant demand going forward. You’re pulling numbers out of the air. Given the business model is collaboration/partnerships they’ll surely be speaking to manufacturers and sign OEMs. I imagine they’ll want to increase production quickly so using a specialist will be necessary and more than one in different geographies. No capital required for us we just need to get the prototype tested and validated.

True but it is 3 years in the making and no reason they can’t include Covid and more importantly add other pathogens at a later date.

This should be the gold standard moving forward and all of MWG’s 3,000 or so units will be retrofitted, new clients galore for water cos, also cruise ships, prisons, hospitals, army bases etc. Massive and recurring revenues for SKIN. They’ll need an OEM for sure which is good for accelerated manufacturing and means we don’t have to provide the capital.

Integumen today announces the successful results of a three-year development Remote Automated Water Test research project (RAWTest), using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a consortium partly funded by the Irish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The Project
The consortium comprised of the Irish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Cork Institute of Technology's (CIT) Centre for Advanced Photonics & Process Analysis (Cappa Group), the CIT Nimbus embedded systems research institute and the AI team from Integumen's Rinocloud subsidiary.
Rinocloud's AI platform was used to test water samples from a fully autonomous data buoy deployed on the Inniscarra Water Reservoir in Cork, Ireland, for E.coli, a bacterium that can cause illness in humans, including diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever and sometimes vomiting.
Results: The positive detection of E.coli bacteria in the water was detected with 99.3% accuracy in 3.37 seconds. This compares to current standard test detection time of between 5-7 days.
