Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
When we saw the big gains earlier in the year there was heavy activity around 2pm - 2:30pm (USA?) It'll be further encouragement if that happens today too.
225 to 237. That's a dirty spread, if ever I've seen one! Serves to temporarily choke off trading.
Don't you think? SP totally reversing recent falls and feeling very , very strong, just like it did in the run-up to the Fosun deal announcement.
I like the look of this a lot. GLA :)
Of course the Woodford fund was never going to reopen today, no surprises there.
With our strong connections in America and recent deal with a Chinese company, this really is the time for a partnering deal with someone in the US. And given Woodford's woes that "partnership" could well turn out to be "takeover" instead IMO.
SP looks strong this morning. Bodes very well for anticipated good news.
Mani - have you heard anything back on this yet?
^never
We'll ever know, because this is AIM
We've pretty much retraced back to where we were BEFORE a ground-breaking, life changing deal for the company.
Basically the Fosun deal isn't price in any more.
On the positive side, this movement is all happening under very low volumes. It can shoot back up much faster than it has come down when there is any news and volume picks up.
Dunno but mortifying as it is to watch our money disappear, the volumes here are very low which suggests the vast majority of shareholders are sitting tight. That's the only option now. Tin hats on and watch this play out.
GLA. Hopefully some blue days next week!
I disagree again. It doesn't matter whether he is or isn't actually selling, it's the fact that he MIGHT be selling that has done all the damage (coupled with the absence of any positive news from RENE in the meantime).
It's just horribly back luck for us shareholders to have got caught up in it.
Perfectly normal in my opinion. There's massive pressure from Woodford's position and ReNeuron haven't given shareholders any information about the RP trial (or anything else) since the Woodford problems started so you can only expect it to have gone one way.
There must be a limit to how low it can go though! I think we'll see a bounce very soon.
It was never 400p, egg, so it hasn't lost 50%. Yet!
I suppose you're right Grizzly.
It's just going to be a bit weird to get an update and it not mention the elephant in the room which has wiped a third off the company's value (about £32 million quid).
But, as you say, I don't really know what they could say about it.
How long was it from treatment of the 1st group of patients to us receiving news of their condition compared to the time between the 2nd cohort being treated and now?
It seems to me that the company is deliberately delaying announcing an update because they must know by now how they have fared. I reckon they are waiting as long as they can to give Woodford as much time as possible to try to get his house in order and ease the selling pressure before announcing.
They'll surely have to say something on 11th July, as that should be a comprehensive business update which must surely include the latest positions on the RP and stroke trials. I'll be annoyed if they don't even acknowledge the Woodford debacle in that statement. It is of material interest for the business, its shareholders and potential investors.
Thanks Mani, appreciate it.
Anyone heard back from Peter Lees or Drax's builder yet? The race is on ...
£40 a share, end of October
Yes, we knew that, didn't we?
Good on you Mani. Look forward to seeing what they say
I'm feeling more sanguine about this now. Not selling, so all this is immaterial. I agree, it's just the MM's making what they can out of the Woodford crisis. If anything I wish I had a bit more spare cash to plough in. But I haven't, so just got to sit tight and watch it play out. It's almost funny now, of all the investors in the world RENE had to get in to bed with him. Unreal.
If an institution were to buy him out entirely they'd be guaranteed a huge increase in SP just on the back of him being out. It's almost a no-brainer at this MCAP.
