The BRH special dividend paid for my new ultralightweight tent and a new rifle. I think I might spend some of the ODX gains (in due course) to get some made to measure walking boots from Altberg.

Don't forget that what are flagged as 'sells' may not be. They're flagged as either a 'buy' or a sell' by an algorithm depending on the price paid against an average price...

The IPO placing was also primarily with institutional investors. They're less likely to trade for short term gains. What we're seeing is probably a bit of churn from PIs, with some people looking to take their 10% gain.

Me... I'm in for the long haul with both Abingdon and Omega Diagnostics.

Don't forget that a chunk of Abingdon's LFT capacity is being used for other things already. Their lack of capacity for AbC19 is exactly why the consortium was set up.

Both ODX and Abingdon will be generous to long term investors. You can't really compare and contrast in the simple way you suggest.

As far as I am aware, yes. CK has confirmed that under the updated Consortium agreement, ODX is guaranteed a minimum of 25% of the production.

Arguably, if demand was so low that it could be covered by a single manufacturer (which is highly unlikely, given the potential for international sales), I suppose they could agree that just one makes the tests - but they'd still have to split the profits under the consortium agreement. What Abingdon couldn't do is keep all the production and profits for itself.

Why is it that Twatters treat things like this as if it is big news? LTHs have been aware of this for some time, having done their research, listened to the presentations, etc. Every time I see a tweet like this it invokes a groan..

I agree - plus much of the potential value was priced into the IPO. It fell after the IPO (which was to be expected and which allowed me to buy in at a price I was comfortable with) but it's now rising above the IPO placing price. I think there will be a sharp increase once there is a formal news flow - just like there will be with ODX.

You're a little bit off.

Production of the AbC19 test is split amongst the various consortium partners (e.g. ODX gets a minimum of 25%). Sales are managed by CIGA on behalf of the consortium - the individual consortium members do not sell the tests they produce themselves.

The profit from the sales is split across the consortium members according to the formula in the consortium agreement.

Don't forget than once a tender closes, a decision has to be made and notified to all parties, then there's a stand still period of 10 days to allow for challenge, before any formal announcement can be made.

Oh Lord... another Twitter '2+2=5'.

The person being tweeted about is a biomedical scientist at a NI hospital trust. He just happened to be involved in some trials for LFTs (so were lots of NHS staff in NI and elsewhere in the UK). Given that he previously worked with Randox that's hardly surprising.

He will have no say in what is purchased by the NHS. This tweet is no evidence of a 'tie-in' with the NHS.

The decision of which LFTs will be used by the NHS will be made by the various devolved administrations/NHS' and, for England, by NHS England and DHSC. Hospitals will be told what panels of tests they can use. NI will probably follow the advice issued by NHS England.

We need to wait and see what is issued by NHS England and the devolved/administrations/NHS', rather than trawling through Twitter and LinkedIn.
