The Glasgow Lighthouse Lab is based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. That's the lab processing Covid tests - not the lab developing them.

ODX hasn't failed the MHRA... it is CE marked for professional POC use.

That ones been bumping around in the background for quite a while. It's a Scottish NHS led partnership and unlikely to be a major player in the short term. I don't think it's even at CE/UKCA stage yet.

Err... no it's not. It has been assessed by PHE (at Porton Down) - not MHRA. It is not approved by MHRA - it is currently being used under an EUA which is a different thing.

The test will be available from the main pharmacy groups but it will be a professional POC test - not an OTC purchase.

Innova is *NOT* MHRA approved. It is currently being used under an EUA.

It is CE marked for professional use (and has been for months).

The MHRA approval was to allow CE marking for a purpose it was not initially designed for and which required competent authority approval, as it wasn't covered by the MDD/MDR exemptions for self use.

There is no deadline tomorrow. The closing date for the tender was 15 January. The first possible date for disclosure of successful bidders was this Tuesday (26 January) but that's the earliest possible date and assumed they'd made a decision and notified on the closing date.

The reality is that it could be any time after that earliest possible date - and there can be delays if there were challenges or queries raised by bidders, as no public notice can be given until the stand still period has expired and any queries/challenges has been addressed.
