It wouldn't be illegal. There's nothing in law stopping any site from requiring those signing up to use their services from obtaining information information that enables them to identify the individual. It's routine in many sites (who may then allow you to post under a psuedonym).

I think healthcare stocks generally are a bit all over the place this week. I have one stock which is generally steady - even it has been bouncing about a bit.

It's nothing to do with the MMs. Trade as a reported as trades, plain and simple. Various sites then use an algorithm to allocate these as a 'buy' or 'sells' by measuring the actual trade price against a reference price.

Just to give folks a heads up...

DHSC is currently engaged in a huge exercise of retrospectively publishing contract award notices (as an attempt to avoid judicial scrutiny in a number of ongoing legal cases). Many of these notices are for very old contracts which have already expired. Unfortunately, some people (particularly the Twitter tipsters) are missing that these are retrospective notices and are flagging them as evidence of whatever ramp/deramp they're trying...

If someone flags a contract award notice its worth checking the dates on what's been posted before getting excited...

I think it's important to note that the £618m is in relation to "Supply and Integration of Survey and Field Force Management" - not the test consumables.

Whilst it gives an indication of the size of the potential market in relation to consumables for the surveillance testing, we need to be careful not to make too much of it (unlike some Twatter 'sages'...)

It's also been superseded by the the PIN (https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/001454-2021) for a tender being issued at midday today... with a value of £1.1bn.

On the first point, pre-orders of the AbC19 test have been going on for some time (via CIGA). I think what we're seeing is a further push of those pre-orders as we get closer to the 15 February (Unshackling Day).

On the latter point, the DHSC is dissembling to cover its arse. It's desperately trying to avoid judicial scrutiny as it knows that this case will restrict its ability to abuse the Article 32 provisions.

No you don't. There is no combined antigen and antibody test (they're two completely different tests).

What you may have is an IgG/IgM (or IgG/IgM/IgA) antibody test. IgM can be used as a proxy for an antigen as it is produced early in the infection cycle - but IgM is not an antigen and the test for it is not an antigen test.
