Elon may be very bright but sometimes that makes it scary. He's obviously no Nostradus either. It's that bad, that Tesla will set up it's own insurance company in order to insure its robotaxis. That says it all, no one else would do it. I wonder why. All his recent utterances are designed to cover IT up, Tesla's FSD is exactly the opposite and likely to remain so for quite some time. Scary!

Phil Obviously TFD was not a minor cough but if you've taken the medicine that cough is sorted. So, assuming Fleet will not be a drag, that means every króna of SEYE auto business is valued as more valuable than every A$ of SEE auto business. And considering the potential issues with SEYE, ie 40mph, no accident (event) data recorder, not ISO 26262, low ASIL ratings, chip costs likely to lead to a substantial placing, is it to be expected for the disparity to be continued. Eventually the market will look a bit harder and see it. SEE could help in the meantime by issuing the Fleet Update it promised a while ago....

Lest anyone forgets SEE is at 3p after a 3p placing, primarily due to TFD. Auto wise, SEE & SEYE have at present roughly the same amount of business (before anything subsequently being lost). So, assuming SEE announces Fleet is fixed, and taking account of the roughly 50% (a bit less now?) dilution, how much purely on those metrics (assuming credibility is also affected positively) should the SP be, bearing in mind SEYE has increased by 20% probably due to EU legislation (which may not be relevant to it) even before any new contract wins?

S2020 I'd agree if it's SEE in conjunction with Nvidia it's significant. At this point, I don't really see any other collaboration that meets the need. Nvidia has issues vis a vis power, SEE conveniently solve those problems, Nvidia's platform works and for some OEM's provides a ready made solution. Win, win, win for everyone.

S2020 It's hard to make a case for SEYE, it falls down in a number of points not just 40mph. And it is a safety solution. Unless of course SEYE has fixed the multiple issues and it is Swedish which must count for something, ask Veoneer and Aptiv! Strange, it's usually the other way round. SEYE will make noises with the merest hint of a connection and SEE has to be dragged out screaming to get any type of reaction. Yet, Volvo (and Nvidia) making plenty of media appearances and not one tweet from SEYE 'liking' the work done there and quiet little SEE, for them, go 'like' mad. Now, going from past behaviour..... However, we'll only know when we know!!!!

Two and a half years ago Elon said Tesla would be at a position where there would not be a need for driver input and now it's a further two years but only because it will be, so he says, twice as safe. That's weak as I'm sure Elon knows but sounds good. And if past record is to go by, open to debate. Incidentally, in a recent study, test vehicles were seen to have more accidents than human only controlled drivers, maybe they need BdMS a la pronto!

Also, Chris says Aptiv is the Tier 1 for this project. Weren't Aptiv Tier 1 for the earlier project and then replaced by three Tier 1's? And BMW has always stated the route to Level 3/4 would be gradual with Level 3/4 available only in certain circumstances ie on highways. Interesting, Chris mentions 80mph. Strange it works on Super Cruise but four /five years after that technology, which by its very nature advances, this system doesn't work. Methinks Chris is getting his BMWs mixed up. Overall he comes across very confused. Alex Roy is also dubious about Chris' tweet.

Lewbo Quite correct. And if the vast (+) majority of the 10 remaining RFQ's (including existing customers) are won,it will be game over. Unless there's proof that it's changed, I'm quite confident it will be the vast majority. Excluding Chinese type wins, it's all about safety going forward. NCAP, legislation, ISO 26262, ASIL ratings.....

Lewbo Yes, apparently SEE was never involved in either bid as either or both convenience or not worth the effort. But what about FCA for example? SEYE involved but not for long? If SEE were not involved in Hyundai or Geely, what does that say of the (as of earlier this year) about the 14 RFQ's? Competition in name only with SEYE involved elsewhere in convenience RFQ's maybe?

Terry What is telling is that since the beginning of the year, our friends have been remarkably quiet about the number of bids involved in. Last year, they mentioned several but nothing since. Unlike our usually ebullient friends! Likewise SEE, but in the other way.
