Chris Yes these things take time. And at present, it's difficult to see how SEYE could quickly get accredited. The interesting point in the second RNS was SEYEs focus on China. Is that due to less stringent legislation?

Chris ISO26262 is what is demanded by OEM's for parts that are deemed as critical to the safety of the vehicle ie steering wheel, brakes, power train and DMS. So if you haven't got it going forward there's a problem. And it's not easy to obtain it. Obviously SEYE need it or come legislation no OEM would countenance using it.

If you use that number along with the total revenue if in all cars etc it's quite easy to arrive at 8 euros which is SmartEye ball park for its tech. However if you insist on Nissan its 4 euros and even SmartEye couldn't make a profit at that. As I said do the maths.

The alliance is RNM. Do the maths, this is the R&M show and SEYE has sold them bog standard convenience DMS for 8 euros a pop. If it were Nissan it would be 4 euros a vehicle. Well done SmartEye, 8 euros for bog standard convenience DMS is a good deal considering the very competitive bidding process it was. No doubt won due to it's world leading convenience DMS technology.

isb If it were only '37mph' you may have a point. However, there are a number of problems, as highlighted by Semicast on 25/02/19, some of which may be related to '37mph' that require fixing and that ain't easy. This is Nissan /Renaults Gen2, Gen1 were in-house coffee cup systems. Due to it being software, the agreement must have been in place for some time otherwise it would not be ready for 2021 and likely to still have most or all of the problems. I think SEE would look pretty stupid if there was not at least one RNS between now and end of June.

Rather can SEE not win anymore OEM contracts? As the models are due to launch in 2021, barely 20 months ago and as it is software it must have been decided some time ago as per the case of Hyundai. As with BMW, Audi both Hyundai and this win will be Traffic Jam Assist, there has been no proof provided that SEYE has fixed its multiple problems and I think we will get news soon that will further enforce that. I don't think SEE wasted its time even filling in the necessary RFQ forms when it became apparent this was a convenience DMS requirement, not safety. Forget all the bluster about 2.3 billion króna possible contract value, it just ain't going to happen. Just like it won't at BMW, Audi and quite probably Hyundai. And SEYE know it.

When Nissan and Renault realise the crock they've bought won't pass legislation requirements due to numerous failings (ask some of their existing customers, the issues haven't been fixed) they'll be calling as happened at BMW and other places.

Yes, if anything (disregard everything else) it's the intoxication part that points to SEE. I don't believe any other DMS provider is anywhere near getting a solution for that. And what does that say about other OEM's who want /need a solution to the problem?

Maps Yes, it's very basic. I'm sure Peugeot is aware it soon will not be fit for purpose and are already in contact with SEE.

True and we all appreciate his research which no doubt led to invest in a company that he has on occasions threatened taking people down to his garden shed for a chat. And then, on investing more in said company, implied if it goes wrong, it's other people's fault. The no blame society, eh?

Baxter Good to see you back to normal. Having just topped up at just over 3p, you now can't see SEE ever going over 10p not even if SEE win most of the RFQ's. Please, share your research with us?
