TLS Good points. Yes, BdMS is a slightly reengineered G2 I believe so there has been some additional work for a total market size of 2,000, maybe a bit more or less. The Waymo's and Apples of this world are desperate to recommence road testing and are very aware of the bad publicity following previous accidents so will pay top dollar for a product that will mitigate the risks. Cenkos say $5,000 whereas Semicast says $50-100,000 per unit so assuming SEE, as there is no other company selling such highly engineered products in this area get close to 100% of the market, over the space of the next two years before costs it's worth to SEE anywhere between $10 & $200 million so at the bare minimum well worth having. So, let it roll!

You can't blame everything on Ken, he's not perfect but Jack most definitely did next to nothing in respect of using his connections re the placing. TLS We were told the BdMS pilots were nearing their end a while ago so you'd think news is imminent, especially with a new (maybe not so interim) CEO in place who you'd expect would like to start his with a raft of good news and what better way but to announce a contract with Apple. Regardless of the contract value it would get a lot of media attention. Whereas if it was Waymo, maybe the contract value would be higher but with less media attention, unless the media tied up Waymo with Google, which it should but you never know. Next week would be good!

Anyone who believes the EU will mandate convenience DMS for a safety solution has clearly not been listening for the last few years. It's a safety solution it wants to save as many lifes as possible using a driver occupant system that will cut driver distraction and warn of driver fatigue. A convenience solution may save some lifes but not as many as a safety solution.

Beefy SmartEye, I think, were at the workshop but no nothing at all. No tweets, nothing on its website, zilch, nada, nothing. Considering how PR savvy SEYE supposedly is, don't you find that as odd?

TLS Yes, I'm sure there's other ways of valuing SEE. Obviously if a suitor is prepared to pay 42 times turnover, like Intel, it fits. I'm not sure the traditional P/E valuation works for SEE or similar companies. Look how people, who have an interest in it, value Cruise for example. Using their methodology (what methodology?) SEE would be worth billions of dollars already! Mob There is one big similarity between SEE and Mobileye, or will be after this year methinks, of market dominance what with the lack of serious competition in the niche SEE is targeting. Terry It doesn't mention hands free and going from other articles it has to see the eyes ie no sunglasses. It also appears to only check on the eyes, I think SEE is some way ahead, though not bad for a home made kit. From memory Subaru has been using this or similar for a number of years. It may be okay for 2020 but after that I wouldn't count on it, new models that is!

TLS The Mobileye valuation was based on 42 times turnover. SEE has at present booked a minimum of A$151 million. So, converting to GB£ that would be 151 x 0.55 = £83.05 million. However, this is spread over 5 years and the majority of this, say 75%, will be between 2021-2024, equally spread, so divide by 3 and times by 42. So, 83.05 x0. 75 / 3 = 20.7625 x 42 = 872.05 There are 3.365 billion shares in issue so using Mobileye metrics at present the value of Auto alone would be - 872.05/3365 = 25.91p per share. To get to a £1.00 per share Mobileye type valuation would need A$583.01 of booked business. The RFQ's we know of, those we patiently await or SEE is aware of in the second half of the year would IF all won amount to A$523 million. And that is on minimum contract values as used by SEE. It assumes Mobileye type dominance of the safety DMS market. So, it all depends on whether SEE does achieve said dominance.

S2020 Thanks for the info. So as regards SEYEs Renault and Mitsubishi contract wins, which are due 2020/21, will they be confident of getting 5 stars for cars sold in the EU?

ET SEYE A few reasons to be concerned about SEYE - 1. A house broker (not alone here) who doesn't know the difference between convenience and safety DMS. 2. Management that has too much skin in the game and therefore can act as it wishes. 3. Management that is silent on its companies real market, thus leading unresearhed investors to believe it's the panacea for all DMS needs. 4. A house broker who highlights previously unknown contracts that he believes is SEYE. Well, do you know that Visteon 1. are according to Cenkos the Tier 1 for BMW. 2. Visteons cluster is ASIL D rated, SEEs DMS is C/D and SmartEye is rated B. 3. Tata has started selling worldwide so needs safety DMS. So thanks Viktor for highlighting another potential OEM coming back to SEE.

Consider this, the barriers to entry to convenience DMS are lower than safety DMS
