S2020 Isn't it 2,700 in CY2019 rather than SEEs FY2019? It would still be on average 300 per month and from New Zealand alone the installation target for FY2019 would be met?

It's not just SEE who has its problems, SEYE does (apparently) as do Nvidia. However, SEEs are not related to DMS whereas issues with DMS are relevant to others. So, it could be a case of collaboration as I'm sure no business would like to see its investment be written off due to a problem that could be solved by integrating a solution from another provider into its system?

hyms Maybe a little ambiguous but Ken does say SEE is working with multiple manufacturers to help them deploy similar systems ie even with existing customers the systems are similar but not exactly the same. Anyway, we'll only know when the news comes out, one way or another.

Terry Just remember the Lifetime Allowance currently at £1.055 (was 05/04) million. That was cut down on more than one occasion but if a 40% tax payer still OK. A lot of doctors and the like have become overfunded whilst in the NHS scheme. I prefer my company to contribute directly and only receive 20% off the tax bill (company) and remain in the 20% tax bracket (there are other reasons). Changes in company tax have mainly driven this, especially over the last 3 years. Each to their own, though.

Interesting the reasons put forward in a post by our friends up North as to why it has won the DMS contract - 1. Earlier collaboration with Volvo and Nvidia. Obviously, earlier collaboration between Veoneer and Aptiv didn't help with Ford and FCA (who also had worked with them). 2. The procurement takes place two years earlier which if anything (if we assume FCA chose SEE due to it working up to 80mph) would mean it would look elsewhere. After all, this most definitely is a safety DMS. 3. JLR has not intimated it will be in all models (referring to Volvo saying it will starting from sometime 2020 onwards). And? 4. The number of models. And? 5. (my own) Martin Krantz has liked/loved tweets /posts relating to Volvo's plans. Dr Mike is hardly known for his use of such media and yet he likes /loves twice as does Ken (once). Come on, guys!

Here's the dreamer in me - Volvo compared to the big boys doesn't sell many cars, only 520,000 per year. But it is proud for being known as a premium brand with also an emphasis on safety. Indeed, it has a vision of zero auto fatalities and hence whilst we wait (and wait) for full autonomy has decided to do something about driver distraction and has tested all the available options and has decided to go with the one that works at 80mph as using one that didn't work at speeds up to 80mph might damage its hard won reputation for safety even though this may upset some in its home country. And all on a chip, it makes sense with such volumes. By my reckoning, at US $20 a chip over 5 years this contract would worth be at least AS$50 million, $73 million approximately. And may explain why there's still A$127 million in play. Dream over.

Terry It may be the A$7 million relates purely to the engineering milestone payments and is roughly in line with Safestocks blog. One thing for certain, SEE do not exaggerate!

S2020 Yes, there's almost as many possibilities as there will soon be shares! Volvo may be the mid one but, unless it's in a similar vein to FCA (which it may be with a bit of Nvidia mixed in), SEE usually announce wins in either 10,25 or 50. Until FCA (chip) that is. So, we'll have to wait and see, assuming it's 6 out of 6......

Baxter You've been saying the same thing since before it went under 4.4p but you didn't sell. Why? At least you wouldn't be crucifying yourself on an almost daily basis!

So as has been said today 2 out of 6 and A$127 million still to contend for. That's an odd number (yes, I know it ends in 7) and going off previous wins hints at at least one more similar to today's announcement. It may even hint at two large ones with the rest of the $27 million spread amongst the two others. Of course we've got to win them first but we can always dream!!

Oh come on, give ET some credit. What ET is telling us is SEYE has accepted it should concentrate on the convenience market. But, yes, wrong board!
