It's slightly ironic that a day or so after JLR state it's 'delaying' the implementation of IR DMS until 2022 and Mr Carlson says OEM's are showing renewed interest in L2+ when there has, including JLR, either been reported issues, empty plastic cases or so called delays with the premium European OEM's which would suggest that not all the problems relate to non-DMS issues.

It's an interesting decision by JLR as you'd expect the work it, and also the Tier 1 and 2" to have been substantial, the more so for those models expected in 2019 and 2020 but even 2021.

Also, whoever the Tier 1 and 2 are, surely at the very least there should be a restatement of earnings expected when the models go into production and if it's retendered from 2022, does that not mean that technically the contract should be treated as null and void?

It's a conundrum and must be absolutely terrible, especially for the Tier 2. Maybe it's best, if it's publicly quoted, the Tier 2 updated the market as to the delay /termination of the contract. It's always best for companies to get the bad news out of the way then they can their way.

I think we are all aware free shares have been issued, which we all have our own views on, so if you follow your own advice you'll, if possible, vote against them and let the company decide how to go forward from then on. And if that doesn't satisfy you and there are no other alternatives, you could always take the nuclear option?

S7 is correct, he didn't say it was guaranteed, he said you'd get 6.1p, presumably per share. It's like those adverts that say 'put in 4.3p and by end of June 2020 you'll get 6.1p'. It's not guaranteed but that's what you'll get and if you don't you can complain to, say, the FCA, and if it says you'll get 6.1p the FCA will make sure you get 6.1p, guaranteed for sure!

I doubt there is one poster who doesn't have good memories about the SP dropping from 14p to 3p, the discounted placing and all the other catastrophes carried out whilst the King of Kalamity was in charge. I know I do but there's nothing I can do about it now.

And just like the management should think very hard about virtually promising deals by a certain date or imminently, it may have been better not to mention the SP you're going to sell at as when or if you don't people are going to remind you about it when, for whatever reason the SP drops to around the level targeted by you when you come on the board moaning about the management or whatever.

And although I won't put a date on it, DMS, both convenience and safety, will be in motor vehicles as that is what legislators in Europe, and it would appear the US won't be too long (although I don't know when, is required starting from June 2022.

I suppose with the list of distributors growing, who appear to know more with what's going on in the company than senior management (yeah right!) you're going to get facts coming up that the management was trying to, er, manage. Yes, the old argument. It's safer than without but misses the point. It may cost lifes that otherwise would be lost without it ie the inattentive passenger in the driver's seat and any one affected by it.

The CMD was a waste of time and money, SEE should just have put a notice on its website that two RNS would be issued, one Auto and one Aviation, and that it had sorted it with the market makers that the SP will be 6.1p, no lower or higher, in June 2020 so that Paul could get his free shares.
This openess should be welcomed by investors who could then forget the share, come back in June 2024 knowing exactly what they'll get.

I never cease to be amazed how much power OEM's have. They may as well run everything, in the open, rather than pull the strings behind the screens!
