GM is unusual in this respect, it gave prior knowledge of the Cadillac expansion some time before SEE was able to announce, on 10/04/2019, and the same is happening again. The strangulation has been going on for some time!

So, factually, when did either a Tier 2, Tier 1 or OEM announce that DMS as part of a system, would be offered as an option in either another 19 models and/or to cover all new models for the next 3+ years. Factually speaking, of course?

Factually speaking, what GM announced is about as good as it's going to get from that angle, factually speaking that is.

Read S2020's post. Do you expect GM to announce for 5 years into the future and specify how many models in 2025 it will be in?

This covers all new or refreshed models that are certain as at the time of the CMD or GM was prepared to admit to.

Also, it has to be remembered where this is being announced. Not the heavy legislation coming in at present as in Europe, albeit only for DMS not a Super Cruise system.

Very true. From memory, I don't recall any of SEEs 'competittors' having the OEM announce a mass market expansion covering so many models, regardless whether it's optional or not, and considering this is viewed by many competitors as the most advanced system, with SEE DMS at the heart of it.

If a ' competitor' of SEE, or rather the OEM, had announced this, there would only be totally positive reactions.

This is, or will be, major news and endorses the statements coming from SEE re mass market is coming.

There's one big difference between Tesla and GM (other than the galloping SP) - one is, er, vague about its vehicles being full self driving whilst the other most definitely is not, informing users it's system will disengage under certain circumstances.

As for the DMS part of the system I am sure if GM wished it to work in isolation whilst not on freeways that would be less of a technical issue than getting Super Cruise working properly. But apparently GM, for now, doesn't want that and in business you meet the customers needs.

I agree, research has to be factual and S2020 s is. It's the lack of research from the other end of the spectrum that got at (S2020 that didn't and doesn't sit well.

As we both know ,if you research any company you'll realise how good (or bad) it is. You have researched SEE and all the signs are there as to how good it is. There are a few on here who don't research and indeed have no intention of ever doing so and whose sole reason here is to loosen the odd unsteady hand. It's just good that posters such as yourself point out the facts rather than the diatribe.
