But again why buy the stock AT ALL? If he purely buys the debt (no indication he is) he’ll get control that way.

As the deal will be voted through.

Seems an extremely wasteful way of obtaining even a minority of ownership post restructure.

So explain again why Kockar would buy the stock to take participate in the refinance and not the debt?

Buying the stock is equivalent to burning money

Unless he wants to take control and block the refinancing.

For me there is no other reason. Kockar wants control before refinancing.

If he wanted it after, he’d be buying the debt.

Let’s be clear here. IBB is short TCG.

They’re probably right though. They’ve been right before on others as they crash to the ground and leave shareholders with nothing.

Is TCG going to be any different? I’d like to hope so.

Interesting because Kockar and Fosun don’t seem the likeliest of bedfellows and I’m not sure if they’d work in unison on the restructure.

If Kockar gets enough to block the restructure and launch a bid that would be very interesting indeed. . .

The key word is ‘operator’.
“Significantly, for the six-month period under review we generated £1.62 million in receipts from sale of test volumes of crude oil. These cash-flows are, as per industry practice, offset against ongoing capitalised testing costs at Horse Hill.”
The key thing here is that the capitalised year costs are borne by the operator, therefore the revenue flows to the operator not to all license owners i.e. not Magellan.

Like I said, read the RNS. Stop embarrassing yourself.

At the moment all the cash from sales goes back HHDL as its netted off against exploration and test costs of field development. 77% of the remaining goes to UKOG.

Nothing goes outside HHDL.

Fortunately the people running UKOG actually know what is going on, unlike you, or I for that matter.

Simple fact is you, or I, can twist the numbers to say what we like. The only people who can’t are the management team producing the accounts, the annual reports and the content of the RNS’

Oh, for the record I’m not including the full assets of 24m plus - that kind of blows your numbers out of the water too if you want to apply the same logic . . .

Post b/s raise 3.5m
Gives roughly 13.4m cash and near cash

Run rate using your (shall we call them extremely prudent) figures of 850k pcm cash outflow
Cash inflow using your (as per usual bloody nosed) pessimistic view of 900k pcm (I had it nearer to 950k pcm)

This still shows a net cash gain of approx 50k pcm

So I guess that HMS UKOG is floating not sinking with about 13.4m cash growing by 50k pcm with the drills fully funded (as previously stated).

Call me optimistic, a wearer of rose tinted spectacles, or downright ignorant of the ‘facts’ as presented by Seadoc, Penguins, Qwerty et al but I don’t think that its going to be a ‘Well the naysayers were right, there’s no oil worth mentioning here, we’re packing up and going home’

More likely to be a “Well, like we said, we’re now going to drill HH-2 and then HH-2z horizontal production well for the Portland, whilst still producing from the KL3/KL4 out of HH-1. . . Here’s f’in dirty great big rig we’re going to use . . .”

That will be very exciting. . .

Anyhow, that’s bound to have wound up some on here this evening ;-)
