The position of CEO here is merely someone designated to follow a policy provided by others. The CEO absorbs the flack until they are no longer required. Then rinse and repeat.
The union members think they would do a better job. Often the way with the "rank & file"

If respect either way is a criteria for providing labour so be it. I presume its mutual, I doubt management have respect for ALL! Members of the workforce.
In my World employment is subject to the employee conforming with conditions set by management. In return the employee receives an agreed remuneration.
Should either of the foregoing change and no longer be acceptable then employment may be terminated by either party.
The idea that workers dictate to management including by IA is totally unacceptable .

I would respect someone who resigned due to what they perceived as inadequate remuneration. Can't have respect for someone that puts the Companies future in jeopardy by strike action.

There is clearly no "us" to encompass the IDS workforce. There are those that get up and accomplish a decent day's work. The same group with the self respect to shun the calls to strike. Then there are the others.

The CEO isn't perfect but getting shot of the CEO is always the CWU's answer to everything and has never worked previously.
Why not try something different. Accept that your not the company Owners or Directors. Arrive do your job as outlined, nothing more or less. If that's happening and there are still issues then discover why.
The Board,CEO, Owners are not the problem here.

For the record I was joking :-
HMRC and the police check for illegal red diesel use by carrying out random spot checks using a dipstick test. The chemical dye added to the fuel is designed to linger in a tank and is almost impossible to remove, so if you've used red diesel in the past, you could be caught years down the line.
