Don't forget that the Q4 collapsed-production figures have yet to be released and the effect on the year overall which will be released in 'Finals' 2021. - If they are not as bad as expected it might help mitigate the bad-news plus any positive news meantime.

Tomorrow/next day should I feel provide a better clue as to how well or otherwise today's announcements have been received.

I agree, it would be good to see Directors backing -up their upbeat assessment by putting some meaningful skin in the game- The industry as a whole is highlighting this as an important element in establishing shareholder trust and confidence. Words are one thing and trip of the tongue easily, personal commitment another.- Absence of director purchases is a big negative for me.-Let's see some faith demonstrated by Horgan for a start.

SP still has to navigate Q4 results and finals released in 2021. - In the light of the current situation, they could present as formidable obstacles. Optimistic I think to hope the SP has reached its Nadir. - Hope you are right though. IMO

All existing mine/infrastructure is owned by Government ( EMRA) so I wonder what the implications might be of Centamin feeding into this from a new licence area that does not involve EMRA?

For me tomorrow is a difficult one to call. - We've suffered a devastating profit-warning this year, hence the depressed SP, however, we haven't had a profit warning issued for next-year. - Technically I suppose it's impossible to issue a profit-warning until a forecast is made. The market however had raised expectations for next year so it's possible that figures released tomorrow in relation to expected 2021 production, if they are disappointing, could be viewed as a profit-warning. - It's a difficult one. - It depends I suppose on how good other news is tomorrow in mitigating any bad news. - All speculation of course, we'll have to wait and see.

What do you think? - he sold at the top of the market a few weeks before the devastating news. - I only mention it because the subsequent purchase by two directors is being highlighted as a great sign of confidence. - I'm suggesting this was an even better sign of no confidence. - I mention it for balance.

The most significant Director deal in recent times was the sale by Youseff of 200,000 shares @ £2.11 in September. - Now that was perfect timing. - I wonder if he knew something? - :-)

Obviously DJ, I want you and your take on things to be correct. - I hope the market accepts that the bad-news is all accounted for in the current share-price. - If they do, it'll be a first. - But, you never know. - I express my opinion based upon my own experience with this share. - Btw, I don't regard the director purchases to be pointers to what's to come. - It's happened before in the aftermath of bad-news and for me they have no bearing on what's to come. - If they'd been significant purchases by the Chairman say or even Hogan, I might have viewed them in a different light.- If MH dips his hand into his pocket and puts his personal skin in the game, that for me would have more significance than the gesture made by two minor-directors who do as they are told. - But that is just my opinion and beyond myself doesn't amount to much.

Much will depend I feel on the numbers projected in the plan. - Irrespective of longer-term expectations, if 2021 looks like being a disaster I think we'll see a flight from Centamin and the consequences reflected in the SP. - The SP as it currently stands is a direct consequence of appalling management. -Just because they've changed the boss, who, btw, has yet to prove himself, this will not easily be forgotten. IMO

The real worry is the way that the markets can be manipulated - blatantly - with impunity. - The orchestra leaders can play any tune they want at any time they want. - Leading commentators, I needn't name them, they get quoted on the BB's every day, have been forecasting the demise of this system for a long time now. - Well, it hasn't happened and is unlikely to happen any time soon. - That's the real worry for me. - It' all happening in plain site with approval from where it counts the most. - I conclude that it's unstoppable.

Since the dividend is a product of free-cash-flow and more than likely f-c-f will be affected by the downturn in production, it would be reasonable to assume that dividend will also be affected. - A rising POG could help mitigate, equally, a falling POG would compound the problem. - IMO

I posted earlier that it looked as though Sawiris had had his nose pushed-out. - Not so it seems. - He will have considerable influence where it matters. - It'll be interesting to see which way the wind is blowing once we have information on the allocations.- I hope there are no subtle-moves that will affect the status of Centamin.

Why don't they just tell us what's what. - It's like the Times-crossword. - Cryptic or what? - With Centamin I'm always on the look-out for the sting in the tail. -It's an integral part of investing in Centamin, so I'll reserve judgement for now.
