T'riffic; a trial from 31 months ago - that generated huge orders then! Of absolutely zero (ironically) relevance to today. We hope that the deployments via Speedy referenced recently are imminent - what could be delaying them? But just citing every major construction project as big news for AFC is simply ramping unless and until we can actually get a significant number of units/systems out there and bringing in cash.

Remind us all how long HS2 has been in progress, how long AFC have had units available and how many are currently on HS2 sites.

You are talking about a handful of fuel cells via the Speedy deal that you were adamant had been deployed months ago and were using hydrogen that was being produced in house by the cracker at the rate of 400kg a day. All of which was made up gibberish.

The most egregious example was probably (but only probably,. it's hard to choose) your insistence, multiple times. that our fuel cells had been installed into Niftylift equipment and was out being used. Nonsense, obviously. Niftylift hasn't even been mentioned since JW came on board, either as a priority or an active business relationship.

While I might be peed off that he company has got itself into a position that makes it an obvious and, thus far, lucrative, target for shorters I don't object to their right to take that view. It's part of what makes up an efficient market, like it or not. The way to stop them is not through regulation but be developing products that the market wants and buy being honest about prospects. Failing to do either of those things over a very long period of time resulted in being where we are now.

Buyout is unlikely but not impossible. The benefits of listing are clearly not what they were, hence the fact that the number of companies listed on AIM is at the lowest it has been for almost a quarter of a century. Nobody has questioned the purity issue in this thread so what that has to do with anything is a mystery.

Clearly your relentless and sadly unfounded positivity has resulted in what is, to date, a disastrous investment - about which, despite your typical toy throwing yesterday, you have shared details many times - including your intention to load up your ISA in a few days time. Citing that date as anything that will have a material impact in investment into one (penny) stock of the many tens of thousands that are available is clearly an absolute nonsense, even by your standards.

And as for your continued highlighting of the current availability of fuel cells - it's patently obvious that nobody is buying them (hell, we've even stopped making them!) unless and until the price comes down very significantly.

I'd have to assume, Daz, that they have some degree of confidence that by 2026 the necessary cost reductions will have been achieved, at least to some degree. But, surely, supplying the standalone cracker for industrial applications, as said in the pre Wilson IM hosted by Bullard must still be an option. If not then we appear to have somewhere between 9 and 21 months to wait for any meaningful commerciality to develop. And we all know that forecasting accurately over that sort of period has not been an AFC speciality!

Indeed jgbb, it's all about getting some traction.

In the IM in November (?) Mike Rendall said (not an exact quote) that they were ready to go, but that's not what we heard the other week; that was almost from the Bond book of over-optimism and it seems JW has been sensibly keen to play it down. My hope for this year boils down to clear commercial interest being established and a formal commitment from a partner. Hopefully that would boost the share price to something that makes the almost inevitable fund raising almost palatable.

2026 isn't that far away - but the end of it is; certainly in terms of the cash the business has now. We know that dues to cost the prospects of selling many/any fuel cell systems in the shortish term is remote - not impossible, but remote - so we are really pinning hopes on cracker development, and that can only realistically come if one of the advance stage discussion crystallises sooner rather than later.

JW is entitled to the benefit of the doubt but past history gives plenty of reasons why that doubt exists - it's delivery time and we have, of course, heard that word before.

If delivery has been made/is imminent (and therefore revenue received/imminent )do you think JW would have mentioned it? If not, why not?
