The saving is presumably because they are not being charged the full capital cost. Good that they are out there but clearly that's not sustainable. Can't really expect any material developments until the Volex units are available next year

These are seriously big numbers by recent standards but the supposition that the short position must be being reduced but nothing on that yet. Now, assuming that buys have been outweighing sells (which seems reasonable!) should we think that:

a) an existing (almost by definition small institutional shareholder(s)) has been adding to their stake?

b) new institutional shareholders are coming on board? - this is difficult because micro-cap companies such as ours are way off the radar for most institutions

c) PIs are getting giddy and being caught up in a renewed wave of optimism?

Loads of reasons. Who knows, they might need the cash to pay for a life-saving operation/repair the roof/pay a child through university, or they may be about to retire and just want certainty over the value of their pension pot.

Contracts have all sorts of contingencies; who knows if the conditions were met - my suspicion is that they weren't because if there was a batch of our fuel cells installed in Niftylift gear I think we'd be well aware of it. I could be wrong, most people would admit to them being wrong being a possibility. If we did deliver at the totally uncompetitive price that we know they were then I imagine someone at Niftylift will be looking for a new job!

I certainly don't know everything, but I am capable of rational thought.

You have no idea what the terms of the contract were and neither do I! They were due for deliver early this year and we have no evidence that has happened. A few mentions in reports which gives me confidence that the relationship is alive but no more than that.

Somehow despite the years of no-delivery and disappointment you still believe everything said in the Bond was incontrovertible fact. It just wasn't! How about that big ole order book? Still believe that was real??

Move on, the old era was a commercial failure, the new one looks rather more promising

At the moment we have information that:

The cracker JDA should lead (not will) lead to material revenues in 2027, so at least 18 months away. But the RNS identifies that there are milestones along the way so we can reasonably expect to hear when we have met or failed to meet those milestones. Either outcome is clearly price sensitive news.

The reduced cost units are targeted for initial delivery in c. 12 months' time. If they are to be delivered then they'll need to have been ordered, so we can expect to hear details of those orders. Just Speedy? I can't recall the terms of the exclusivity agreement but as it's a joint venture its's fair to assume that most deliveries will be via them.

Apart from that their may be the odd dib/drab of income via Acciona and Speedy but there's clearly no chance of anyone buying the current model, which we've stopped making in any case!

The other news that would be very welcome would be the receipt of a significant government grant which seems highly possible

Anything else? Well, there's always the possibility of something coming from out of the blue.

Give what a rest? being sensible? Is there anything I've written there that doesn't make sense? Get over your obsession that anyone who doesn't think we'll all be billionaires by Christmas is being negative.

One might imagine that they are among the first targets for the new, cost-reduced units - but we aren't talking that for 12 months, as per the RNS. There's no reason to think they'll be busy buying and installing the current version when there's a much cheaper one just round the corner.

That's the sort of thing I'm thinking of. What we really need, of course, is an actual £s and pence explanation of what this means for the prospective buyers/lessors; an overall comparison. As it is we can be reasonably confident that they are competitive as the cost reduction has exceeded management targets - although we are yet, of course to make any (or certainly any material numbers) using the new processes.

I'd like to know how the very impressive cost reduction in unit production translates into the reduction in the actual price to buyers. Clearly it won't be 85% as production is one element (a big one!) in how an actual price for delivery is calculated; staff costs, premises costs etc. won't have come down by 85% so while the headline figure is pretty much off the scale in terms of what could reasonably have been hoped for in this time period it isn't a number that buyers will experience on invoices.

Now, of course diesel generator manufacturers also have staff and premises costs etc. but what we really need to know is the difference in cost to purchaser of a new unit.

And before the chuckle brothers try to present that as some sort of negative bashing from a shorter it's just a sensible outstanding question!
