There are some small reasons for optimism ,but in case you haven't noticed the share price is still down around 62% in the last 12 months, around 45% down over two years and around 87% down over five years.

Unbridled optimism is tantamount to insanity in those circumstances.

Just answer two questions honestly.

1. Do you think posting up a year old RNS provides any sort of evidence that t he commercials in that announcement have come to fruition?

2. Do you really think that your incessant reposting of a presentation that suggests an increase in revenue from £4m to £850m means that will actually happen and that a detailed plan of how to get there really exists?

If you were remotely willing to have an actual debate, CN, rather than just quote items repeatedly as if they are definitively factual with no analysis or thought process whatsoever, you might learn something.

One has to read these threads with care so as not to scratch one's head too badly.

CN - nobody, but nobody doubts that in May last year a contract was announced between AFC and Niftylift to supply cells early this year. But we also know that since then we have had the revelation that the cells are so expensive that employing them commercially just hasn't happened on anything like the scale we hoped for, if at all.

We hope that the steps being taken by the new management change that position- if they can't then AFC fuel cells as a standalone product are finished, clearly - that's not even a debate. Whether their integration with the cracker on a FAAS basis is realistic only time will tell; we certainly don't know that for sure yet - either way.

The fact that in this document AFC and Nifty are mentioned? I'll take that as a positive but there are so many caveats around it that it would just be madness to assume that the relationship has developed as envisaged by that RNS a year ago. It's very clear that it has not.

You have been called out on here on this specific subject multiple times over a long period of time for peddling what are clearly untruths on the subject, stating more than once that the cells were definitely in active use in Nifty equipment. Now, an untruth is not necessarily a lie. But when it has been pointed out so many times that what you have said is untrue and you have consistently failed to provide any evidence to refute that and you keep on saying the same thing then that is lying - pure and simple.

AFC have researched the market and come up with some numbers which I am sure they would acknowledge are not actual specific targets on which they will be judged.

You on the other hand have said they can do 50 times better than that.

Nobody, AFC management included, really knows whether those numbers or anything like them are achievable. It's not a plan. Now, that's not a problem - I would expect a new broom to look at the widest possible environment and then fine down the detail of where to focus efforts. No problem with that at all, a very logical approach.

We are in a state of anticipation which has been fuelled by being informed that discussions with potential partners are at an advanced stage but it is reasonable to assume that signing on the dotted line isn't quite imminent. The director deals are clearly a positive but those strategic deals/partnerships are what may finally set us off on the right path. Bring them on!
