It isn't negative, jgbb, to say that nothing is guaranteed until it is signed and delivered. The new management have, for the time being, got the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately the previous management created considerable doubt having signed literally dozens of agreements deals and delivered precisely zero commercial deals. To date that remains the case.

So the Board now hold 0.86% of the company's equity. Not insignificant. I wonder if Mike Rendall holds shares? Not a director but must meet the definition of a PDMR. Only just spotted that the Finance Director of Hyamtec is Lucy Tyrrell. No sure of her history

because:

the vast majority of my investments are in index funds. this is an isolated speculative punt that hasn't gone especially well

i post plenty of things that are not remotely negative -they are valid discussion points but unless posts are totally positive you and others think they are negative - that's just not the case

despite the welcome price rise in the last few days it remains very low for anyone who has been in longer than five minutes.

the business is yet to strike a single commercial deal (despite the lies that are regularly posted saying it has) and it will run out of money unless it can do so at some point.

of course my view is weighted to the negative. anybody sane would see that as a logical position after so many years of no commercial achievements

i don't like bullies and bull****ters. cn, haggis et al (same person, don't know - don't care) are firmly in that category after getting everything wrong for many years yet still insist that hey are infallible and always right

What's the problem with rational debate? Is it better to come on here and say 'it will be £1 by Christmas'? There's nothing negative in anything I've posted in this thread whatsoever - try my comments re Acciona which are most certainly positive and counteracting another's point re their involvement or otherwise..

It's certainly more constructive than - Ooh there's a COP, Ooh, there's an IM presentation, Ooh, there's an AGM, there's bound to be an announcement this time!

I think we can be sure there will no no actual news re commerciality in the short term - but we can hope for something on the not too distant future re some form of engagement with somebody. been burnt too often with apparent engagements that have delivered absolutely nothing so we have to hope that the next one is the real thing.

Indeed Daz. Director buys are clearly a positive but we need actual commercial news for any sort of rise to be sustainable. And for all that the price has risen sharply, it's from a very low base. The only possibility now of me adding funds is via a fund raising IF there is a convincing reason to do so at that point.

We know that the price is totally uncompetitive at this point and for all that Acciona push the green agenda no business will pay so far over the odds.

I'd rather , at this stage, view them as a valuable relationship that may come to fruition once the whole FAAS package is viable. They know that the tech is effective and will have known about the cost issue before the trial - I'd see them as waiting in the wings.

It will only rise so far on confidence. To get to the levels we wanr to it we need commercial traction. Has to deliver on that sooner later - hopefully sooner!

I'd say those shorts closing would add more than that. What we really need - and we have to think it's coming at some stage - is some actual news re the business. Clearly it's very positive that the new board members are buying in decent size, but actual business news is the gamechanger we need

I'm genuinely interested, jggb , in why you think I am being negative in wishing to discuss relevant points and discuss associated issues which impact on AFC?

It seems, on here, that unless one is ludicrously positive - that would be you, CN, who has failed to see any failings at AFC over a long period of time despite there being many that have led to a share price rise to 7p or so getting you all giddy - then you are deemed as negative or worse.
