Brent, totally agree. This stock is already sentiment led - throw in a significant ‘no’ vote from shareholders and you have the potential for a very negative market reaction. You'd just be cutting off your nose to spite your face....
Nothing to gain from rejecting some pretty straight forward resolutions, but plenty to lose.

ValJu, there was always going to be a drop this morning after Javid’s ramblings yesterday, can’t see how anyone would have expected otherwise. This one ain’t the BOD’s fault, just a straight reaction to HMG statements.

Not new, but great to see this signed off and actioned. This smacks of an imminent, amicable dispute resolution to me. Couple that with news of funds buying in and the picture starts to look somewhat rosier this evening.
Let’s allow ourselves some cautious optimism....

Agreed Kaeren, no huge nuggets in the resolutions, all pretty much standard fare.
Genuinely feel a resolution must be close though. If they were poles apart, we simply wouldn’t be supplying them still.

Can we please end this delusional crap that anything repetitively positive, or remorselessly negative actually makes a material difference to the SP? It might sway one or two PIs (who probably shouldn’t be investing anyway if so easily swayed!), but both stances are a waste of time with regards to moving the SP. It just doesn’t.
This is a little BB on a dark corner of just one platform discussing a company that probably 99.9999% of the UK population have never heard of. The one thing that is shared on here is an interest in NCYT as an investment. Can’t we just discuss all aspects without being accused of being ‘negative’? It’s just tiresome.

Maybe we’re the virus and Covid is the vaccine? We’re certainly doing our best to destroy what we live on...

ValJu, respect your view on this, although it isn’t one I share. Unfortunately, the IIs and MMs won’t be looking into the dispute detail the way we should have. They don’t rationalise it like that, they just see a smallish, growing company in dispute with their major customer, so they simply park interest until resolution. We’re a side show in the great scheme of things, they ain’t living NCYT 24hrs a day like some appear to....
The dispute is not being overplayed by the market, it’s simply waiting for a resolution (or buy out) and it isn’t too bothered in the meantime as we remain relative small fry. It is being underplayed by some though, as nothing much will happen until a resolution is reached, but some remain convinced it will.
That’s how the markets work, nothing at all to do with anything said on a BB, that’s for sure.

I’m certainly not looking for disruption on the BB, just balanced debate. In the same post we’re told that ‘NCYTs sales turnover by end of Qtr 1 2022 will make the DHSC cost amount seem like small change’. Will it? You know that, based on what facts? Throw away statements like that aren’t based on facts. If that’s an example of the the dispute ‘being done to death’ then it suggests the exact opposite.
I actually see the dispute as a great opportunity and have bought further at lower levels, but it’s a calculated risk.

Are you being remotely serious? You genuinely do not thing the dispute has had, a continues to have, a hugely negative effect on our SP? Seriously?

Hard to believe that any mature investor who’s invested in NCYT finds it unacceptable to mention ‘the dispute’. It is THE primary issue at present. Also amazing to think that some people think that continually repeating well known positives will have any effect on the SP whatsoever, absolutely not. The dispute is THE topic, not some sort of weird uncle that no-one should mention. It’s the current SP driver, face facts.
The market doesn’t like it and, until it’s resolved (or we’re bought out), volumes will remain low and the SP will drift.
Stating this isn’t negative, it’s called realism. It’s why the SP is where it is, and if it isn’t sorted (or we’re bought), dreaming of a re-rate is exactly that, dreaming.
All that said, I think a resolution is very close. They’re still buying, we’re still selling - speaks for itself.

Kaeren, agree. However, the almost obsessive positivity is, as you say, just too obvious....even if not done with a motive, it just renders it meaningless.

The issue is not that some people can make the odd positive or negative statement, that’s wholly natural with this share! The issue is those that that make repeated positive or negative statements regardless of where the SP is sitting and with no change in stance to take in different circumstances. More often than not, those people are working to an agenda for personal or professional gain. I know people who do it (both ways), build a following and reap small but multiple amounts from it.
The derampers are easy to spot and easy to condemn - who likes continual negativity, after all? The rampers are actually more dangerous. They are actually saying what you want to hear about the company you’re invested in!! Instead of being cautious towards them, they can actually gather a following and ‘control’ a board. Happens all the time with volatile stocks.
Just as in normal life, disregard the extreme opinions (both ways) and find your truth somewhere in the middle. Taking a lead from either end of the spectrum is an absolute mugs game. But hey, it’s your money.....

Not always a reliable indicator, but the Bourse looks as though it’ll open strongly, the theoretical opening is ticking upwards.
Think broker forecasts will remain cautious until there’s a DHSC resolution, but if we get that soon, it’ll fly. Steady as she goes is good for now....

‘Normal’ as we knew it is gone for a very long time, if not for ever. We’re going to have to learn to live with this and settle on what a new ‘normal’ will look like. Unfortunately, it’s going to require a far more open, honest and vigorous approach than we’ve witnessed thus far by HMGov, at both a national and international level.
At present, it feels like the blind leading the blind.

We’re a long, long way from returning to ‘normal’. Indeed, we’ll undoubtedly need to reassess what ‘normal’ ‘ will be....

Good advice Soder. Understanding it properly is always better than taking a punt. Investment decisions always preferable when based on knowledge.

‘Relentless positivity’ is pointless if not kept in check by realism. Outlandishly high predictions are just as silly as doom mongering low ones. One is put forward by a de-ramper, the other by a ramper. Same action, just trying to pull sentiment in opposite directions for their own benefit. The ramping is clearly far more palatable to those invested, after all it backs up your investment decisions and confirms ‘you’ll be a millionaire by Christmas Rodney’!! As it’s more palatable, it’s also more dangerous to the inexperienced.
Each to their own and it’s obviously your money to lose, but the truth usually sits somewhere between these two extremes and is usually backed up by fact. ‘Relentless positivity’ counts for nothing - and the idea that an individual being so on a share bb can actually influence an SP is both laughable and delusional.
DYOR and don’t trust posters on BBS, myself included!!

I’m sitting bang in the middle of your shortish term projections - mid point is in the mid eights for me, lows in the high sixes, highs in the low elevens.
Whichever way you look at it, it’s positive. However, realism is required here - it’ll get volatile and will get attacked again. However, a long hold could result in some serious returns here, this is my play.
