Many easily accessed press and social media articles available to suggest a sustainable change in sentiment towards Covid stocks. It’s promising, but be prepared for any gains to be quickly sold into, so recovery may prove to be in baby steps until NCYT specific news is forthcoming. Good results or dispute resolution remain the key turning points to look out for, a deepening European Covid situation unlikely to generate substantial gains on their own.
So, an improved situation that’s to be welcomed, but let’s all keep our feet on the ground for now and understand that patience will still be required.

I wouldn’t take a word he wrote, under whatever name, as gospel. Could easily have been a double bluff shorter.
He had many following his every word, so a great lesson for us all. Trust your own research, not ramping/de-ramping strangers on BBs.....

I took the conscious decision months ago to bottom drawer NCYT and avoid the emotion that comes with being heavily underwater on a share. I’m a long term holder that still believes in the company’s future, but watching the SP all day and getting involved in meaningless arguments with complete strangers just feeds an emotional response, never a great idea when investing! Most of the arguments are pointless and managing to ‘win’ one is futile - it will have zero impact on the SP.
Research remains key, as does clear thinking. Anyone who is finding their investment decisions being effected by BB chat rooms should switch off and wait. Keep researching, but just ignore the ego massaging arguments and do something more productive with your time.....simples.

Rampers and derampers, very similar animals at either end of the contribution spectrum. Rarely are either right, the truth usually sits somewhere in the well researched middle ground. The stronger their opinions, the more likelihood of a self serving agenda - they’re certainly not spending hours on here for your benefit, that’s for sure....
Must be a very sad life, especially those who display a smug disregard for their almost universal unpopularity. Strangely, the bigger the reaction they can muster, the better they feel - they’re probably not even noticed too much in ‘the real world’. Sad.

Of course it will, but not in a huge way. Covid vase rises should see a small rise in all Covid stocks, that’s just common sense. However, any rises this causes in NCYT‘s SP will pale into insignificance when compared to dispute resolution, positive forward statements etc.
Simples.

B2H, I’m not forgetting that, just stating that it’ll take NCYT specific positive news to move SP upwards in any meaningful way. I don’t want to see cases rise, for obvious reasons. But, if they continue to rise, the effect on our SP will prove negligible compared to the rise caused by a resolution to the dispute. Hence we need NCYT specific news, not generic sector news.

There’s no doubt that Covid sector sentiment will affect the SP, but not to the extent that many on here are looking for. It will only, as you say yourself HarChris, add a bit of oomph. It’ll be positive NCYT news that causes any meaningful movement, not a regrettable rise in UK Covid cases.

Given its fairly unique circumstances, we’ll need to see unique NCYT news to bump up the SP. A growth in cases etc won’t do it, nor other Covid sentiment drivers. We need specific NCYT news, not Covid sector news.

I’m afraid we’re beyond market sector sentiment now. We stand alone and it is NCYT sentiment that will drive any SP change, not Covid stock sentiment. It will require NCYT specific news. It’ll come, fundamentals still sound.

Zero bonus payments should be paid until this debacle is fully rectified, at the very least. What must DA be thinking, seeing this unfold just three weeks before his start date. Staggering.

Good post Blue. MMs playing games (and some PIs on BBS!) is a symptom, not a cause. They saw an opportunity, that’s all. Some seriously bad plays by the BoD got us to where we are.
However, the journey ahead is still extremely positive, it’s just that we didn’t think we’d be starting from here! Many expected to have left and arrived at a highly profitable destination by now, hence totally understandable frustration.

If that’s a big No, then you must know all the specific fact of the dispute to say NCYT are not involved? What sort of dispute between two parties does not involve one of those parties?
