Europe lower in premarket ahead of data3 Dec 2020 06:41
Stocks on the major European market indexes traded in the red in the premarket on Thursday as the investors awaited a fresh batch of data on the service sector in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Eurozone, as well as Eurostat's report on October's retail sales in the euro area.
On the COVID front, traders remained cautious despite the optimistic vaccine news as the number of deaths attributable to the virus continued to climb on a global scale.
The DAX slid 0.17% at 7:33 am CET, while the FTSE 100 went down by 0.38% at the same time. Meanwhile, in Paris, the CAC 40 dipped 0.14% at 7:31 am CET. The euro and the pound both advanced by 0.15% versus the dollar, selling for 1.21186 and 1.33870, respectively at 7:28 am CET.
