The only connection Scancell has with CAR-T is with the Gylmab and Avidimab platforms being able to mediate a CAR-T attack.
Scancell may be going some way to proving this in pre-clinical work but, as far as is known, they have no intention of taking this into the clinic themselves.

Plus the throwaway remark in the previous AGM that Biontech would not be able to afford Modi1 :-)

Deals on Avidimab and/or Glymabs may reduce or even eliminate the need for further funding ever.

The important thing is that Lindy herself is very excited about the Modi1 trail, with the following words in the RNS

And this is backed up by further words at the AGM saying that recruitment for the next stage is going incredibly well with one cohort already filled.

It's not as though we haven't got plenty to talk about especially what Lindy has already told us at the AGM. Let's concentrate on those words rather than hang on every word of patient 1.

I actually think that Covidity creating memory cells is probable rather than possible.
After all, Lindy tells us that Covidity is similar in structure to SCIB1 and that produces a good memory response.

This is a study of recovered SARS patients (SARS being another coronavirus).

"Two CD8(+) T cell responses targeting the SARS-CoV membrane (M) and nucleocapsid (N) proteins were characterized by determining their HLA restriction and minimal T cell epitope regions. Furthermore, these responses were found to persist up to 11 years post-infection."

"The knowledge of the persistence of SARS-specific celullar immunity targeting the viral structural proteins in SARS-recovered individuals is important in the design and development of SARS vaccines, which are currently unavailable."

This points to Lindy being ahead of the field in targeting the nucleocapsid (N) protein with T Cells. Her obvious aim is to produce a strong memory response that springs into action when the targeted antigens appear.

As Chester says modi1 could create a strong memory repsonse.
The mouse data certainly showed a memory response.
Hopefully all of Lindy's vaccines (either Immunobody or Moditope) will have this feature.
The previous SCIB1 trial certainly showed strong memory responses with patients still alive today.

The mechanism is entirely natural with a proportion of the activated T Cells differentiating into memory cells.

Scancell is not a manufacturer but will obviously create small quantities of vaccines in the lab for testing on animals.

As I understand it, the inflammation is the first stage of Modi1 doings its job. It causes the expression of the epitopes that the Modi1 activated CD4 TCells are looking to bind to :-)

Just a reminder of what Covidity promises:

Needle free application
It is easy to add new epitopes
Possibility that it is effective against other Coronaviruses

But the aspect that may attract suitors is Immunobody as a platform not just for Covid19, but for other infectious diseases.
So, if the phase 1 data is good, the big question is whether anybody is interested. I think it likely that CEPI will be interested.

I know Lindy is an optimist, but having re-listened to the AGM recording, two statements from Lindy really stood out for me.
When talking about the Modi1 trial:

"People are loving this trial and we are recruiting incredibly well; very exciting"

Then talking about iSCIB1+

"If you like SCIB1, you're going to love iSCIB1+"

For balance we'll be holding a 50p party some time before the main event.
Not sure, but the 5p wake has possibly been cancelled.
