Sorry it may be my misunderstanding but I was under the impression that they has now finished with cohort 1 and 2.
They are now recruiting for the monotherapy cohorts.
But I don't recall anything about the Modi1 + CI cohorts. I may be wrong

It's interesting to know that Scancell seem to be in no hurry to start running the "Modi1 + CI" cohorts

I agree but any Keytruda wannabes are immediately then playing catch-up. The bar has been raised.
Also, if Avidimab is proven to make Keytruda more effective, I would imagine Merck would want to pay more to exclude Avidimab from other CIs.

However, we are speculating at present.
Having said that, there doesn't seem to be anyone around to pour cold water on these speculations. Very strange. :-)

The other possibility is a tie-up with Merck via Avidimab.

Scancell did say that the may be testing CIs with the addition of Avidimab. Keytruda is the obvious one to start with since it is the CI being used on the current SCIB1 trial.

If Avidimab were to enhance the effect of Keytruda then it would be music to Merck's ears in terms of evergreening patents on Keytruda.

As I understand it, the patents Scancell have filed prohibit other parties from the targeting of citrullinated epitopes in cancer treatments. Surely this is what is of overriding importance should Modi1 perform as well as the early indications promise.

It certainly looks like Lindy's team have managed to measure the effect of Avidimab in the Covidity trial. We shall see when the results are published soon.
Backing that up is that Avidimab is hoped to be included in the SCIB1 trial.
Then Lindy also said that Scancell were talking to two parties about Avidimab.

I would imagine that Redmile are very pleased with their investment in Scancell. They may even have joined the happy clappers.

Well we heard Kate Bingham's views on lack on any detailed scientific knowledge in government and senior civil servants.
This latest initiative may turn out to be a rather narrow approach if Modi1 is successful. Even more narrow if eventually Scancell do a deal with Biontech.

I would be surprised that Scancell play a part in the initiative. Lindy is keen on DNA vaccines rather than MRNA and, to my knowledge, has never worked on MRNA technology.

Me too. It was the great evangeliser who first sparked my interest :-)

I think we have had many pivotal years in the past for development of the science.
It looks very much like Scancell will now be reaping the rewards of all that hard work.
A year for the glee club to gloat? :-)

Scancell have already put a smile back on the face of one particular patient this Christmas.
Let's hope that this is the first of many more to come.
Also, lets not forget those patients still alive from the original SCIB1 trial.

It will be interesting to know how many patients have been recruited now for the SCIB1 trial and how those patients are faring.
I am also of the opinion that, the more the news is delayed, then, possibly, the better it will be.
