The £8 prediction has been rubbished for years by team doom and gloom. It is essential now that this prediction is replaced by £80 to maintain a two party system.

As well as reading Burble's lucid explanation of Moditope, it is also worth looking at Scancell's explanation and the role that interferon-gamma plays in the process. Without it, the peptides would not get expressed by the cancer cells and the cell would not be killed

This is such a different scenario now for Scancell with Redmile's money.
But the really important aspect is that Lindy didn't need Redmile's money to come up with the 4 platforms.
The money just allowed the products to flow through more quickly to getting trials started. Plus Scancell have a second lab now for doing everything that needed to be outsourced previously.

The best tick-tocks are yet to come :-)

Yes, and even the saga of the SCIB1 combo would have been different with Redmile's money.
Just start the trial elsewhere or bribe the FDA.

There is no evidence that it is genuine.

As far as needing extra funding, it is simple mathematics with "Known Unknowns" and "Unknown Unknowns" :-)

These being:

1 Size of Genmab upfront payment
2 Stage payment schedule
3 Other deals (Glymab and Avidimab) plus their upfront payments and schedules
4 Possible Covidity deal before current cash runs out

Consider the following:

1 The Genmab deal is for just one of the 5 mAbs
2 The deal excludes cell therapy
3 Scancell are searching for new glycans targets i.e. new mAbs
4 There are currently 3 other collaborations
5 There is the possibility of Avidimab deals

Does this not suggest that, over time, more GlymAb deals are likely?
If this happens, there is every chance that this becomes a virtual circle, with more and more payments each year.
Sure, the science has to work, but this is not just any science, this is Lindy Durrant science :-)

This is a good question asked by Drew.
This one deal could fund Scancell for a few more years without any resort to either extra Redmile funding or funding via share issues.
Now if Scancell agree other GlymAb or Avidimab deals, then the need for funding evaporates.
Scancell could then afford to wait for full results from their own clinical trials before considering deals resulting from these trials.
We also have the Covidity trial results to look forward to.

The future does look very rosy :-)
