As for why Scancell's approach is better, the following may be important:

a) Avidmab may give a better affinity

b) SC134 is bi-specific and interacts with TCells

c) The TCells are activated

d) The TCells proliferate

It looks like what you are saying is that Scancell's disruptive science would be of no interest to big pharma when Scancell's product types are not included in their own long term planning.

For example, a pharma has no experience of DNA vaccines and this type of vaccine is not in their long term planning. This pharma would not be interested in Immunobody no matter how good the results and how convincing the science is.

I find this hard to believe.

I have to disagree with this Drac. Over the years, Lindy has had ideas, and in order to advance the ideas, she has recruited high quality research staff. This is precisely what Burble was alluding to when he mentioned the "shop window". Scancell now has great products to display in that "shop window". Genmab have realised that and others are likely to follow.

So, not earth shattering payments, but it adds to Scancell's credibility in the market.

An immunobody deal, on the other hand, would be a different kettle of fish with results from two trials (three if you count Covidity). The quality of the results is obviously what is the key here. All the indications are that both SCIB1 and iSCIB1+ will achieve their stated endpoints. As usual, it is a waiting game, but not too long to wait this time. We definitely know that the interest is there from the last RNS.

Effectively this means that SC134 binds to the tumour cell and also binds to the TCell.

This causes the TCell to be activated and also to proliferate (clonal expansion).

So the end result is armies of CD4 and CD8 activated TCells in the vicinity of the tumour. These are the TCells that kill the tumour cells.

Combination with the checkpoint inhibitor Atezolizumab also improves the process.

This was one of the deals mentioned by Cliff Holloway (Scancell's former CEO) at the time.

Being a specialist in CAR-T, Kite are not quite in the exact same field as Scancell, but a similar situation exists with many promising products in the pipeline and mostly at an early stage.

I suspect Biontech will still be very interested in Moditope but more as a vaccine rather than for TCR therapy.

The reason being that Modi1 has already shown that it can activate TCells for the citrullinated epitopes.

For that reason TCR therapy may turn out to be irrelevant for a big majority of the patients. The Moditope vaccine (Modi1 in this case) produces the activated TCells in sufficient numbers and with a high enough avidity to make TCR therapy unnecessary (at least for most patients). The TCR therapy could then be used for those patients with a weak vaccine response.

Let's see how the cohort with the double checkpoint and also also the neoadjuvant cohorts fare. We may be in for fireworks when results for these two cohorts are announced.

News in Q4 is far more realistic

What is frustrating is the the RNS doesn't emphasise that the copper forecast for 2025 only includes current feeds and does not include extra feeds that are likely to come on stream during 2025. The result was that, quite understandably, the market reacted badly to the RNS. Perhaps the RNS communication has swung from being too optimistic to being too pessimistic in the area of forecasting. It would have been easy enough to list the projects likely to enhance the feeds during 2025.

Apologies if this has already been discussed on the BB.

It might be interesting if more than one pharma are interested in a deal.
