How does 201 data compare to current standard of care and also new products currently being trialled?

How do VAL/TRX plan to re-formulate 201? No details about this so far.

Some would say that 50% of patients showing no progression is not impressive in these days of immunotherapy becoming mainstream.

Perhaps Scancell are awaiting the iSCIB1+ data before actively pushing Avidimab as a possible way of extending the patent life of CPIs.

Lindy did really well as joint CEO and CSO. I'm actually surprised her joint role lasted 3 years but I suppose it takes a long time to attract the right CEO candidate.

As previously posted, after a suitable handover, she will now be able to concentrate 100% on the science. I'm sure she will have a few more tricks up her sleeve.

The vast majority of speculations about when the Scope trial results will be released have been wrong.

The fact is that we cannot say when the results will be released. My own view is that they will be released when Lindy and possibly the trial investigators see fit, and the release will not be linked to any other event such as an AGM or a conference attendance.

In the Trinity report:

"A new arm exploring Modi-1 in combination with CPIs in advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is underway. The study protocol received regulatory approval in May 2024, with a planned cohort of 44 previously untreated patients. Enrolment is underway, with four patients dosed to date, and a preliminary data read-out is expected in H125."

Confirmation that recruitment has started in this cohort. This could also become a cohort of great interest to pharma as results emerge.

Remember the mantra:

Great products lead to great data and, in turn, lead to great deals.

All the indications are that Immunobody in the form of SCIB1/iSCIB1+ is on the cusp of producing great data.

It is quite possible that Moditope in the form of Modi1 will also, in time, produce great data. Lindy will want to wait for meaningful data with the double checkpoint before considering a deal.

Meanwhile Scancell have 1 mAb pre-clinical deal with the possibility of a second soon.

It seems that Scancell have never been in such a good position.

It's also part of the bandwagon of trying different inhibitor combinations.

Scancell's approach of using a vaccine to stimulate TCell activation (along with enhanced clonal expansion and avidity) in combination with inhibitors does appear to be a better approach than using inhibitors on their own.

As far as I know, there has been no further news on progress of this vaccine.

However, given much better funding, Lindy may consider bringing the research back in-house. No disrespect to either Universities but, IMO, this would enhance the chances of producing an effective vaccine.

It should also be noted that checkpoint inhibitors used alone do not have a memory effect. In contrast, all evidence so far indicates that immunobody vaccines do have a strong memory effect. So, an effective immunobody vaccine in combination with CPIs (perhaps the 2 CPIs currently used in the Scope trial) may well be a better option.

I agree but, IMO, it is unlikely to happen since Lindy is the kind of scientist that is a rarity.

The kind of scientist that uses great knowledge, experience and, most of all, imagination to come up with novel ideas.

She then needs to surround herself with high class scientists to test and develop her ideas.

Interesting that the locals will be there in force.

Novartis and Roche between them have 31 speakers.

They probably all want to talk to Lindy 😀

The above is the filing of Adam's laboratory company. Judging by the micro accounts year-on-year this appears to be a successful enterprise growing over time.

So why isn't Adam actively advising Valirx? He certainly was on the Scientific Advisory Board of Valirx. His departure was announced but, as I remember, no real reason was given for his departure. Strange when he was a major shareholder and also very experienced in running his own laboratory.

It is also strange that the Valirx website under "Investors" do not seem to give any info on major shareholders.

The irony is that, if the patient featured had been enrolled into the original SCIB1 trial following surgery, he would probably have been cured a lot earlier.

Why is Lindy predicting that iSCIB1+ will be more potent than SCIB1?

To answer this question, we look first why an Immunobody vaccine is so potent.

There are various pathways by which dendritic cells can process antigen, but the highest avidity T cell responses (i.e., the most potent) are generated if more than one pathway is used to present the same epitope. With iSCIB1+, Avidimab has been added to the DNA Plasmid. So, I reckon that the antibodies secreted by the smooth muscle cells will have the Avidimab structure added. Because of the affect of Avidimab this will cause more of the antibodies to be presented to the APC. This in turn leads to more T Cells being activated and possibly with increased avidity when compared to SCIB1. That's my take on why Avidimab will make a difference.

Interesting that TD now give valuations per platform rather than individual products.

Also interesting to see that they give the chance of success of Immunobody at 5%-10% percent whereas Moditope's chance of success is estimated at 12.5%. I would have thought that it would be the other way around especially since this was post the Nov 2023 Update on Scope where 11 out of 13 patients were responding.
