Whether or not Redmile's extra shares count in a vote, they are sending a strong message to anybody who disagrees with the extra cash they want to make available to Scancell.

IMO the most likely outcome is that the contentious resolution with be passed and Vulpes will, after due consideration, continue to be a shareholder.
They are businessmen and still stand to make a lot of money out of SCLP but who knows.

Prove or disprove the current 4 targets before adding others.
We know there may be possibly 1 or 2 on the bench already due to changes already made. The research will continue on targets not in the initial trials regardless IMO.

If you consider that the vote for CLN resolutions was between 70 and 75, and then you do the maths on whether it is Calculus or Vulpes on their respective % shareholdings, then the odds are overwhelmingly in favour of it being Vulpes who voted against.

That's exactly the conclusion I came to.

Pure guesswork but I reckon these are candidates for extra spend

Reasearch/Development

1) Obtain evidence of Avidibab as an ADC
2) Obtain evidence of Avidimab helping in a CAR-T attack
3) More work on FG2811 to reveal the full potential of FG2811 (maybe in connection with CAR-T as burble suggests)
4) Progress Modi2 to be ready for the clinic
5) Work on Modi3 (project blueprint resurrection - probably research into modi3 only at this stage)

Trials

1) Expand SCIB1 combo trials in terms of centres and number of patients
2) Increase the planned numbers for the 4 Modi1 indications plus be ready to add new indications (potentiall a big item)

Covidity

No change here, finalise the delivery and look for more government money and/or partnerships

Collaborations

1) Delay Avidimab/MABs deals until the full potential is more apparent
2) Delay a Biontech deal until modi1 data arrives

I suppose Covidity cannot go pre-clinical before deciding on the delivery method.

But I guess the peptides to use are still under investigation.
So I would expect Covidity to join the league when these peptides have been decided.
The trick may be to choose peptides that effect entry of the vaccine into soft muscle cells and also APCs.

It's not as though Lindy doesn't understand the costs involved in trials.
She will know the number of patients required to put favourable results beyond doubt.
She will also know exactly what extra research spend is required to cover her enlarged plans.
She will also want to accelerate the modi2 program to get that into trials.

Up until now Scancell have not had the cash to expand the trial numbers to something closer to the numbers that big pharma recruit.

But with extra money Scancell can expand the numbers on the trial and hence potentially produce much more statistically significant data.
As I recall, the original plan for the SCIB1 combo trial was for 70 patients. This gradually got scaled back and now stands at 25.

Remember Ruck that the modi1 trial is potentially 4 trials. Perhaps this was a major factor is assessing spend, especially if statistically significant data is sought for all 4.
