An interesting question shareguard and it might need a long answer.
I was very surprised that Lindy managed to incorporate Avidimab in a DNA vaccine such as Covidity. Definitely a left field item to combine 2 platforms in this way.
The picture in Lindy's presentation shows the soft muscle cell throwing out the antibodies with Avidimab added for extra avidity when they meet their target. Now, I assume there are 2 targets in this case:
a) The part of the spike protein used to gain entry into other cells
b) The same APCs that the original DNA vaccine also targets
Now as far as the APC is concerned, does the extra avidity of the antibodies translate into more potent activation/avidity of the T Cells as well. I am hoping Lindy gives the answer yes.
But as to Avidimab being useful in other Covid vaccines, then I suspect this is on a case by case basis. If the vaccine is a mab then maybe yes, if a DNA vaccine then maybe yes. For other types of vaccines, who knows? Let's hope Lindy picks your question :-)
But if Covidity is successful then it puts 2 of Lindy's platforms into the spotlight, not 1 as we thought previously.
