Just to delineate the 10% and 20%.......the former for standard rate taxpayers, the latter for higher rate taxpayers on AIM.

IF this happens.......some advice from my Financial adviser. Get all your ISA allowance filled, because no tax on dividend and share sale (possibly some on higher taxpayers) AND after 2 years no IHT on your estate. Any shares not ISA, sell because @ 10% and 20% the tax will be lower than the dividend tax. She might be not quite accurate but that is the general advice. Good Luck!

Another horrific saga with this so called champion of the investors. Pello Capital put in suspension for over 12 weeks, but now cleared of all alleged wrongdoing. Investors could sell through JARVIS but not buy, so could miss out on any buying situation unless they had another broker. Who did the dirty on them? The whole situation stinks ,and that untouchable FCA are again responsible

Now the contrast. My very clever school friend became 2lt Dunn of the Cheshire Rgt, a National Service man,compared with my short term Regular. So I was on 9 pounds a week, he on 6 pounds 10 shillings. BUT he was sent to the Malayan War.One week after arriving, he NOT a regular was sent out in the jungle with the captured 2nd in command of the communists and the intelligence officers of Singapore and Kuala Lumpar. They returned after a week with 13 prisoners, all having lost 2 stone in weight bitten everywhere and stinking to high heaven. 18 more months later, they had brought in over 400 communists .So we WON that War. Dunn was awarded the military MBE and the Captain who sent him out there got the Military Cross! Cannon Fodder is what National Service men were. Apologies for returning, but I just wish to salute all the veterans. Lance Bombardier Charles Babbs,called up 1941,killed near Hanover 2 weeks before VE day. His son ,my best friend since 13 years old, had an horrific war.They were bombed out, moved to the grandparents, then that house was bombed. The bank which his father worked for fortunately found them an apartment, which became rent free when his father was killed. May I briefly compare and contrast. Sgt Rattie was sent to that Holiday Camp, Germany.My girlfriend was the daughter of the head of NAAFI in Europe so everything was absolutely great. There is an iconic photo of us at the Sgt Mess Annual dinner dance, which one of my pals has changed to slightly sepia! When I show it,it's pushed aside by my fiancee who exclaims Hitler bombed my Wendy house !Far more interesting! Right, next post ......

As my jocular post about Tillywhiz was deleted by some nerd,the time has come to leave the board.As an investor since 2009,I have experienced exactly the same angst that many of the newbies are suffering, but we long termers can be fairly relaxed. I did mention quality yesterday but the best is quality of life. Friends and family are the best contributors to this. We meet at least 4 friends every week. Now in the last 18 months, we have enjoyed upgrades like suites in hotels and ships Michelin star restaurants, but in our humble opinion nothing comes close to friendship. Just a hint guys ,so all the best to everyone

I was merely having a playful go at Tilly for his gigantic number of posts, but praising Mac4671 for his succinct and informative research going back well into the early twenty teens when he ,and I and a few others had many a joust with TDT. My history with EUA started in2009.By the way my quote (Inebriated....) was Disraeli having a go at Gladstone. No one picked that up, but it is an extraordinary yet playful repost between two men who greatly respected each other so I thought it was quite apposite this morning but the great and good did not agree.

Robbdabank....well done! My lousy education showing up OR I was thinking of that lovely EUA dosh. Anyway, better being struck off than being subjected to a thinly disguised tirade of swearwords which others have had to read which even made this ex Army Sargent blanche.

My post comparing and contrasting our eminent posters in 1st and 2nd places in the LSE/ EUA has been taken down. As a very infrequent poster (as I just cheque the price early in the morning, then look at the board ar 5pm)this must be something of a record....!!!Can't think who did it...

Slight slippage today possibly due to palladium price easing .So the final price for EUA might well go down to 98p rather than 99p bottom line.......!

P.S Sorry, ANY suitable AIM share or a combination of several can deliver the benefit and of course you can keep adding that 20k every year.

Great but rather confusing posts but PLEASE remember if you have held EUA shares in an Isa for 2 years you are NOT subject to Inheritance taxes. You can sell them and transfer them to another suitable company (say another miner) but it must be on AIM. Another great benefit . As I have posted before, my wife died at 57 and her brother at 59,so just be careful with this, hopefully, great bonanza.

To Mac4671 and other long termers............Have you seen the diatribes against EUA by TDT on Advn? Well he has obviously MISSED OUT AGAIN! Having sold out @ 14p he didn't get back in @ 15p last week, so we are having the same rants we suffered on this Board for many years We did have some reasonable discussions and with his excellent historic research saved me from investing in another miner. So all the best to him!.

Apologies for not replying to some erudite explanations concerning drift mining and washplants in the winter-been out with my friend whom I have known since 13 years of age. He said why on earth in this technological age, can no one come up with a solution for keeping the washplants working in the winter. I read that the solution was to urinate on the ice!!by other erudite posters.

Just caught up with this incredible news. Now one question for the mining experts. IS there a possibility for a drift mine to expand the mining to a full year?

AND do not forget that AIM ISA (in business but not financials) held for 2 years are NOT subject to Inheritance tax .Once held,you can transfer your accumulation of ISAS to other AIM listed companies that are applicable. The tiny amount of sales this week highlights the proposition that these are purely raising spending money .Look at the rush to holidays, look at the house buying and particularly house decorating and extensions. You can't get anything done until October. My sale to cover a luxury cruise on Sunday was cancelled because only 50% were allowed on board. Hence my 50k buy today. Whoops! I sold @23.6 and bought back @ 20p.AmI one of those dreaded shorters?
