The option of rolling over was not advised by my broker, as a possible suspension would mean my coughing up the whole amount. Not a good scenario! Very interesting post on Advn ref. Platinum. It's ready for a substantial re- rating. As gold is so high ,jewellers are switching to the white gold for diamond settings (diamonds are cheaper now) and as we know there is an industrial demand for the metal,with the supply chain diminished.

Just received a message from my 2 daughters. My house I sold 10 years ago has doubled in price. All the owners have done is total refurbishment after it was trashed for 3 years by 4 couples and a toddler-so yes 4 bedrooms ,2 bathrooms a garage and 3 car parking spaces. BUT uuuup north so went for nothing. So if I had popped my clogs this time last year, those kids would have been furious at my stupid long term investment in EUA with half my house money. Krispy-you would keep your ISAs but in cash terms, so able to invest wherever. What you would lose is the important insurance of no inheritance tax (if you had held ISAS anywhere for 2 years).The only way to carry that over is to invest in more Isas.Now this sounds fine for the young and fit, but unfortunately it ain't necessarily so as I have witnessed losing friends and relatives at their relatively young age. Just a thought for your consideration.

Over at ADVN, Excellence has raised the conundrum for we reasonably affluent holders, who would much prefer shares instead of cash and for purely selfish reasons an AIM company would be ideal for me-ie no scrambling around for other shares. There was a wealth of suggestions on that site, one CHF which I hold and another ,not mentioned there, PYC,both 5 baggers at least. So I am looking forward with a certain amount of trepidation, which is hilarious looking back just a year !!

Just phoned EUA office asking for some information about their status on ISA / Inheritance tax which they did not know. I apologised for taking their time, adding that I would certainly not ask for any financial news ,but you must be busy. Very Busy was the reply.mmmmmmmmmm....m.

Jonesrichard. Think positive! That loss is set against the fabulous gains of this share. I actually have more losses but caused by turning my shares into ISAs. I shuddered at the time but like all we long termers, just rejoicing!

3 days of more sells than buys and up goes the price. Today the first day there are more buys than sells and down we go .We have been there before so many times, but it does get a bit stupid with the MMS playing this tiresome game. TDT Thanks for your confirmation of my comment I do remember your detailed analysis at that time because you explained you had been involved with mining in some capacity. Now do you remember the photo of MT which clearly showed an overhang which could underneath have indicated a cave or some sort of recess? Who of our then contributors to this site posted this I do not know, but I do remember that they could not work out accurately how far down the resource this was , so ended that chatline. Obviously now from the lack of response, knowledge has not moved forward.

A couple of years ago there was speculation from ,I hope, knowledgeable mining and geological experts concerning the possibility of a drift mine at MT.The problem seemed to be lack of specific data of the structure of the resource. Has the situation changed.?Winter mining could be a major bonus. Thoughts from the experts please.

Apologies to be back again but a friend who read my blog asked why the Engagement? The reply is FI NANCIAL.As both widowed ,we both get our 650k Death Duty allowance for our separate families, with the house allowance up to 1m.And now for the NASTY news. Both then being in our early 60s, we had heard horrific stories from friends about others on second time round, when one had died .That family came round demanding half of everything including the house.So just beware folks, families seem ok until Greed takes over. Dexter-We managed to pay off the mortgage at my age 32,but having married at 29,I had good savings behind me and my wife, 5 years younger had a cracking job. So house detached with a bit of land,we did rather burn our money on great holidays and great cars.Sunbeam Alpine to replace her Sprite and a string of Cortina GTS for me. All marvellous but with 2 kids we still had a great life.Thank goodness we did, because she died at 57.So about Excellence and retirement, a great idea,but you really have to plan your future carefully ,to properly fill your life with that horrible American term Enrichment. I met my widow fiancee a year later and we fill our time ,well about 8 hours a week working to raise money for our local Charity. I do the membership and she.,as previous tour operator ,organises outings and holiday.s .We also had a classic Merc 280 SL for 9 years which when we sold it ,cost us only the petrol! Naturally we have virtually been round the world to amazing places but have not bought a second home, finding out from friends that it's a commitment far too much. So some ideas guys,but make sure your gals agree !

Have you seen on Advn that Excellence has retired at approximately 55 years having sold 20% of his holding @ 6.9. His average buy was o.33,so presumably Isad .Great news for him,so just wondering if he is the top PI for EUA? NO Ian I am not proposing one of your leagues or competitions as

May I join in as one of the old guard of investors in EUA, mine going back 10 years and I would like to thank them both for their helpful contributions. As they know my signature was always Strong Buy, which seems to have worked especially last month as my ISAs were 2 years old,so no Cgt and no Death Duty which at 83 is a definite bonus. Looking back, I was told by my late wife and now by my fiancee (of 20 years) that my positivity verged on insanity, but I tell you what it is a great way to live. We all needed that when investing in EUA!,!

Great debate! However anyone plugging in to you guys informative and intelligent posts could only come to one conclusion. With the enormous increase of technical investment in the future of EVs who would be so stupid to now at this moment to buy what extremely shortly will be a redundant vehicle with a huge capital loss and possibly no customer willing to purchase it. Just a thought!!That's made my mind up. By the way no one has answered my question about the future rise in price, because of demand, of the constituents of battery manufacturing. Lithium at the moment is quite low, but will not be for long if your projections are correct. So,don't buy the car, buy lithium!
