RE: Good summary11 May 2026 07:51
This is what Marcus had to say - an interesting hypothesis and one which has crossed my mind too.
Hang in there would be my advice, something isn’t right (in a good way).
Typical AIM companies push out whatever news they can muster, Avacta is a brilliant example.
Yet here at Scancell we have been in a period of the opposite.
1. Avidimab relative silence, virtually unmentioned in news and other releases having been raved about as a separate platform prior. It’s key to Scib, Glymabs and patent creation or enhancement to any Mab
They are now proving it adds durability to tumour shrinkage.
2. The Glymab recent enhancement, we’ve had a brief mention of how fantastic the upgrade is but no inner details released…̷0; that’s nuts.
3. FDA fast track has been achieved, which is big news, but no podcast after that news.
4. Clearly more data out there, clearly shared at AACR (77% PFS) but the inner details have not been shared.
5. Eric Rubin, the key figure at Merck overseeing the development of the most successful immunotherapy treatment (keytruda) and key figure in the overseeing of the personalised vaccine, slips onto the Scancell panel unannounced.
6. Modi news phase 2’s repeatedly pushed out.
All of the above and some would have been released as news and raved about by typical AIM companies.
If Avacta had Rubin appearing on their panel, the news would have been red hot, social media going berserk (and the share price)
My personal conclusion is talks have become so serious, Scancell either have no need to say anything to catch attention or discussions have required such restrictions, or both.
This is not normal AIM company behaviour by a long way, it’s nigh on absurd. They may already have offers on the table, waiting to see if anyone involved is going to up their offer.
No other explanation seems to be worthy to explain the silence.
