Agreed HH. The share price either reflects a company possibly running out of money with science that is going nowhere, in which case one may consider selling (or not buying, depending on one's position in the first place), or it has promising trials and science which may lead to substantial events which will propel the sp far higher, in which case one may consider buying some shares, buying more, or holding existing ones. But that's a matter of doing your own research and deciding from there. Simples really.
If there really was a 50 million offer of any credibility on the table, and it was SD's choice to accept or decline it, why would she still be faffing around for 2 years with some unknown start-up trying and failing to raise about 3 percent of that amount?
I said the other day that other ways would be found to undermine Prof Durrant - starting the 'problem' header and keeping it going was traditional, but par for the course. Whatever headwinds or delays there may be, anyone who has watched or researched LD's efforts over the years, and heard her present, and spoken to her in person, will know just how knowledgeable, dedicated and pioneering she is. And I can't see her recruiting a shed load of PhD scientists to assist if they were anything less than highly engaged and promising. Cossery can now step up the business side, but imo you ignore LD's credentials and knowledge at your peril. If you think she's anything other than a massive asset, sell up - free choice.
A shame so many wasted energy trying to undermine Lindy's integrity, but unfortunately I'm sure they'll try to find another angle of attack in a bit. Moving on...
AB - 'Now tell me that it's OK for LD to do what she wants. (I still hope it wasn't the CEO selling yesterday).'
Classic piece of fence sitting, and well positioned to have 'called it right' whatever the real facts. Very 'astute', but do watch out for those splinters.
There's a tradition on bulletin boards of stamping feet and demanding RNSs from BoD members (good and bad) for all sorts of things but basically, if required, they get issued. If not required then they don't. Never in response to an indignant or demanding post. So chill, sell, buy or hold.
And the bid went up after it, as it has with the previous 250ks.
Re funding requirements, I'd be alarmed if she'd said 'I don't think funding is anything we need to be aware of for now.' The comments about how much cash they have for now are hardly a revelation nor a cause for panic.
Makes you wonder if the better laying out of timescales and trial plans has deprived those who enjoy it of some uncertainty and made it less appealing as a platform for destabilising conjecture.
AB just wants to Aimbig. (Oh dear, there should be a space before 'Aim' and 'big' but I'd posted this comment before I saw the error)
'Matron! Fetch the spoon for C11 please.'
In context - the 44 percent are from a group where 'All patients had failed on previous treatments and their disease was actively progressing when they entered the study.'
I'd rate that as a massive advance on existing therapies.
Yes. But mustn't talk about it, or we'll wake the children up.
'Maybe you weren't referring to me?'
What makes you think I was referring to you? Do tell.
Well said crumbs, post rec. Your comment 'They are right until they are wrong' was never more true. The usual bile-spewing suspects arrive on cue, protesting their innocence and wisdom in equal proportions. They always sold at the top, bought at the bottom, knkw who holds what and at what average (actually hugjly amusing from my own standpoint) and have this innate wisdom born of their inner genius to know how well they perform when the rest of the plebs are simply a bunch of moronic losers, 'all in', 'under water', and 'lacking the virtues of the astute.'
The same ones who have manoeuvred their comments here from utter doom and gloom to 'if it goes well', allow wriggle room to have covered all eventualities for the future, and having some incredible insight into the purchase price and averages of others. Bear in mind sclp watchers have moved from hoping the next raise would not be excessively dilutive, to watching for how the current trials (plural) will look at their next results RNS, and debating just how lucrative the next MaB deal might be, or whether Covidity will attract a buyer/partner now or later. The same individuals who slated each BoD change as inadequate or irrelevant are now trying to hedge all bets and look like prophets of success while having more faces than a town hall clock in case of delayed news to help their day to day stance.
Crumbs - You may have to wait till trading opens tomorrow before you get a reply.
As long as LD isn't just going through the motions.
As long as it has the ring of truth.
When looking at the potential for competition it is probably worth remembering RG's genuine surprise and delight at the great breadth and scope of the patent granted to Moditope - the 'land grab.' They still hold that land very firmly, don't forget.
