There is no such thing as a 100% guaranteed find in exploration, but I know what you mean. Very high probability is the term I would use. And yes I agree, a series of good results should push SP up by a significant amount.
Two major operators in spitting distance to our permits. At this price it would be far cheaper for them to simply buy us out of existence. So the sooner we redrill that site the better if SP advances. Our gas play is what is attractive now since we have a new large discovery.
Yeah I did the same. Looked into financials on upswing. Looks good from all perspectives. Look through last year's financial statements, you'll get a good idea from there to settle your mind. Also look at Financial Times analysis of this share. Same information only it is presented in an easy to read format with future performance forecasted. It's an independent assessment so not linked to market. Also there is an Irish blogger called wexboy who did a very extensive study of this and other shares. His assessment indicated a potential of 60 cent a share about a year ago so might have to be reviewed considering current oil prices. Also important to factor in COP gas contracts as a buffer against falling oil prices. All in all it looks like a rare opportunity to get into a share whose price is seriously discounted, circa 60% down before big gas find.
I agree with your PR strategy entirely. In terms of PR and broker ratings you are doing an excellent job. Have a look at ft assessment of this company. Look at the analyst's Reccomendation. All buy, no holds, no sell. The financial Times is one of most recommend research forums worldwide.
I agree that it is comforting to see all buys today. Some of you are long term holders of this share, some like myself have just bought in. However a realistic point of view should be maintained when considering any share and although a positive point of view is always good, an exaggerated expectation is not always helpful. This is an excellent share no doubt and there appears to be a considerable amount of activity in the pipeline. However the belief that share price is going to double every couple of months is not likely. Yes, share price will rise on good news and good results but I will be happy if SP goes up by 10% (compound) every month for the next year. On a separate note this share would make a nice present for someone for Christmas and even better as a long term investment for a new child's birthday gift. In two to five years this share could reach 70-90p depending on external factors. Perhaps even double that if things go reasonably well in terms of continued exploration.
Yes that was impressive and the fact that there was no retreat in SP after yesterday's good news is actually much more satisfying and reassuring to me. To me any buy above £5000 at this level should be considered a vote of confidence so a 95K buy is indeed good news. For every 10p my estimation of what constitutes a big buy would increase by 5K, so at 20p I would consider a £10000 buy reasonably big, at 30p £15000 etc. My estimation is simply based on the inherent risk factor associated with exploration stocks. In banking shares my estimation might be based on a multiple of the 5K figure (exception distressed banks). But as I said earlier I consider this share to be far superior to other exploration stocks in thee same market capital range because of multiple factors. In short this is a credible Share with real potential. On paper it is vastly underrated and extremely good value even at double the price (treble the price if oil prices recover).
What do you consider a large buy/sell exactly? Just in terms of this share? Because when things do pick up and we start to achieve upside potential, then you will see some really large buys.
This is standard fair for a share following a huge rise. The good thing is that SP didn't fall back in the morning trade because of prifit taking. That is a very good sign. Too many people attribute too much to mm's buying tactics. This slow day is exactly what you would expect after yesterday. Now what we would like to see is a slow and steady (2-4%) per day for the next month or so and then a takeover bid. Yesterdays news was one big advertisement for the company and I think it will attract a steady flow of investors over time. That is better for a company of this size as the investors tend to stay invested for longer and sustain SP.
I did not expect the SP to rise much today at all. That is because following a fantastic 27% rise in value you expect a certain amount of profit taking. That is normal for any share. So if we dont move from our current SP today I would not be too surprised. In fact it would indicate a healthy interest from more savy investors rather than "quick buck merchants" or day traders. Volume today is key for me. I am interested to see if there are any big volume sales/buys which might suggest M&A activity or funds investing. But realistically funds only take a minor interest in penny stocks of this kind. Even when the value is obvious.
I only said 20p yesterday because I was not up on the financials for this firm and my offer hadn't been accepted at the time. But looking at the financial data for this company it is by far one of the most undervalued companies in penny stock that I have come accross with huge upside potential. I would say that at the moment and taking this new find into account (also with oil prices as low as they are) a reasonable share price for this share (and this is taking into account the fact that the size of the new find has not yet been established) would be around 29p. That would have to be re-evaluated when size of find is confirmed and also when oil prices rise. But the saving grace for this share is its gas finds and already undervalued SP.
88% in two days. I've never seen that before but I am really looking forward to seeing it now. I have placed an order at 13.15p. I expect it to fill shortly. I am not a mojor investor so not much cash involved. But if it doubles by next Oct I will be happy. GLA and thanks for the positivity.
Hi all. Just taking a breather from looking at BKIR and i see this share has really done well. Is there still potential with this share. In other words do you think that within the next twelve months SP will be up around 20p mark? It does look good on paper but just need an honest opinion? Thanks, Ramerci
Regarding full listing. One of the reports yesterday said that a full listing should be achieved before Christmas. That would give a major boost to SP and thats why I bought in this morning. SP wont reach £1.44 by end of day, no way, unless news of a full listing comes out in RNS.
Just set an order. Lets see what happens....
This looks like really good value at a discount. I'm not invested here at the moment but I am seriously considering doing so. What's the situation regarding full listing? Anybody expect that to happen pre-Christmas?
I still remain optimistic about PCI but after a year , two dud holes and some fine rhetoric along the lines of "transformational year", I am seriously thinking of selling. At present I am up 8%. That is not a stellar return in my books. Put it this way, I am up 15% on BKIR shares since January and my only regret is that I didn't invest more than 4K. I have 73K tied up here for nearly a year and I don't like the silent treatment we are getting from the board. I might still change my mind but it will take some convincing. Llyods and Barkleys banks made me some money last year and I pulled out of them to invest here. Look where I would be if I stayed the course with them. I am thinking seriously about investigation in Irish banks. BKIR and permanent TSB. Ireland is recovering at pace and the banks are again starting to be a safe bet for investment. I never thought I would say this but they are yielding a better return than gold or oil at the moment.
Good post offerman. I feel a bit more relaxed today since we managed to stay above £1.70. I think that is an important figure as it was our new year threshold and a point to benchmark against.
I am a little confused over Liberum Capitals downgrade of our share. So far I cannot find an explaination. It seems strange considering our recent bullish form. Anybody any ideas why this is the case???
Fingers crossed and we will break the 1.80 mark by end of next week.
So far so good.
