oh shut up. Some of the fire was caused in Australia by the green gang not allowing any management of the land, it got over grown with dry small shrubs that catch fire quicker and spread it quicker. Arsonists are causing some of these too.

Trains to cars was done with the market taking care of it, becoming cheaper as they slowly spread. We are trying to force it without that natural progression. That could bring big problems

Batterys are currently rubbish and there isn't an alternative yet. Should progress this eventually, but in the mean time with our bangers gone most of us will be stuck.

Why do you simply refuse to see reality ? The debates should be how we are going to tackle this and work out what the affects are going to be, not panic. At the moment we are committing to getting rid of our primary power source without an alternative replacement. Get ready for power cuts. We went from horse and cart to steam train and then petrol engines, these progressions took generations. If the west stop making petrol cars overnight, the parts wont be available either, Asia and Africa rely on our old cars, so their transport networks could collapse. Most people I Know cant afford an electric one either that needs a new £10k battery after a few years. There are many spin offs to talk about.

So, as for your grandkids, they could be in a world with power cuts all the time, not able to afford a car to travel and eating garbage with no meat. Think about their future indeed !

For starters, if Oil production shuts down as the west goes electric the developing nations will struggle with Oil becoming rather expensive. Expensive Oil could stagnate them for ever really. That knocks on to everything else.
