Danman , yes deffo, i'm sure some accountants are really in touch as they know the backstory and are aware of the smoke and mirrors so have a good insight as to how it will play out. I won't been drawn into a debate on them but you don't have to scratch the surface very deeply to see even the most basic of issues, dig real deep and it gets very very dark indeed.

Boohoo to open supply chain to customers
Boohoo Group is opening the doors of its supply chain to its customers, inviting them to a “meet the makers” day, where they can look behind the scenes of its suppliers first hand.

The etail group, which counts Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing, Oasis, Warehouse, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis among its portfolio, has been consolidating its supplier base over the past year, following media reports last year of underpayment of staff in some factories in Leicester.
Boohoo Group now wants its customers to meet the fabric weavers, printers, pattern cutters and machinists who make its clothes.
“We are committed to transparency and this initiative is another demonstration of this," Boohoo Group CEO John Lyttle said. "We are proud of the work we have done in the UK and we want the opportunity to showcase it. Customers can be confident in our operations and the way in which we are working with suppliers to drive positive change, as we help rebuild a vibrant manufacturing base in Leicester that offers good employment and great prospects for the city and its workers.
“I’d like to personally extend the invitation to our customers to be a part of this opportunity to come meet our makers this first hand."

Questions raised over Shein’s supply chain disclosures
Shein, the fast-growing Chinese etailer, has reportedly failed to make public disclosures about working conditions in its supply chain, which are required by law in the UK.

The company also, until recently, “falsely” stated on its website that conditions in the factories it uses were certified by international labour standards bodies, according to Reuters.
In the UK, companies selling more than £36m of goods globally per year must provide a statement on a searchable link available on a prominent place on its home page, dated to a financial year and signed by a director, outlining the steps it is taking to prevent modern slavery in its supply chain, as part of the country’s Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Shein’s “social responsibility” page states that it “never, ever” engages in child or forced labour, but does not provide the full supply chain disclosures required by British law.
The company declined to provide its annual revenue when probed by Reuters, stating it does not disclose its revenue publicly. However, analysts have estimated the company’s valuation at $15bn (£11bn), with annual revenue of at least $5bn (£3.6bn).
Drapers has contacted Shein for comment.

Night Watch i think everyone is aware that Burtons is not Sexy, in fact if they went down that route then i would sell up tomorrow !!! Core pitch is and always has been targeted toward Next and to steal back market share, the strap line is followers of fashion not leaders of fashion, with the team that BH Group now have V team that Next have i'm confident that they will start to eat into their market share.

Just a heads up on Burtons , currently im told the best performing Brand on Debs site and going forward they are buying in depth on forward order book. This brand and others on Debs site are not about fast fashion , can be made on longer lead at good margins.

Danman Sachs, i can clearly see you're a frustrated investor or perhaps wannabe fashion CEO in waiting. Im pleased you've picked up on my word nuance as this is a key part of the industry. Rule nothing in rule nothing out in Fashion and its revenue streams, they all add up to the bigger picture and it call all change quick as a flash and reasons are complex , not just the actual offer but tax and duty as well as C of O impact all the time now Companies are truely international, eg we are shopping direct to Middle East , US and Europe fof UK reg companies. Of course you need a website and formula to market sell = Platform and this again will change and adapt, as we always say flexibility adapt and pivot are the key to surving and excelling in this industry. Debs and Arcadia old guard where dinosaurs, Asos and new BH management are young and i believe some of the best in the industry.

Building blocks which where always going to take time are being put in place, also well noted from the RNS that BH Group leaving no stone unturned to generate revenue streams, including Wholesale which of course was always going to have its place in BH offer, in this industry dismiss nothing , especially important for offshore countries that can be hard to read like Middle East.

Asos plus Arcadia now top heavy, too many tiers of management, eg for Topman Menswear buying alone they had two buying managers who oversaw 8 buyers, above them at one point was a head of buying also a buying director and then MD. Asos buying teams similar structure, that's one hell of alot of management and one line buy for TM used to be 3000pcs now more like 700pcs, neither inc wholesale, Nordstrom still love and want TM/TS. In my opinion Asos letting wrong people go, maybe something to do with amount of redundancy pay out on the old timers, deffo a BH gain as this is youngish blood they are bringing in, more to follow me thinks.

Highly rated, buyers respected her and great eye for detail, brilliant appointment, the real effects of bringing in these guys will start to be seen in the offer around 4-6 months.
Hearing rumours about another possible appointment on mens which if it happens will again be a inspired choice, i mentioned when BH made there acquisition's that needed to start a big recruitment drive, from a buying perspective this is now i would say about 75% complete and i cannot fault the decisions they have made thus far, these appointments are not journey men/woman. S/T whatever , L/T from a fashion perspective the right teams are now (almost) in place to deliver the right product for further growth.

Good to see your oven eeady marketplace finslly getting off the ground on Menswearr, the big Denim brands as i mentioned not interested , will suit some but not others. Womenswear seems to be attracting some of the smaller niche players , which is nice to see.
Ive also got an E Golf and Wife has a Audi Q7 Hybrid so dont feel too guilty re the 20 mpg on the Vantage

Boohoo Group reported a 63% rise in US sales year on year to £453m in its latest full-year results, published in May, while Asos's US sales were up 18% in the year to 31 August 2020, on 2018/19.
However, success is not guaranteed for British brands. Before its UK business went into administration in November 2020, for example, Topshop liquidated all 11 of its US stores in May 2019 – 10 years after opening its £14m New York flagship to much fanfare.
So what does it take to make it in the land of opportunity?
