A big dump for Totally this morning after Bobs warning that, due to the current inflationary environment, staff and business costs will increase substantially. Some shareholders have worked it out that thin margins and rising costs don’t work well together when it comes to the bottom line.

Linear programmatic is reaching a critical mass but it's available only through a small number of providers and just at the same time as Tremor is buying Amobee.
RTL Group and Amobee have announced that they are forming a new European partnership called TechAlliance, to strengthen their ad tech offerings on the continent. The partnership will entail a sales and services company that will unite Amobee’s ad tech offering with RTL’s Smartclip in Europe…. the joint offering will be tailored to the needs of European broadcasters and streaming services, and will offer programmatic access to ‘addressable TV’ advertising via RTL's AdConnect.

This should open up a new, and lucrative, revenue stream for Tremor.

Needham & Company LLC assumed coverage on Perion Network in a research note on Friday. SNN, I wouldn’t be averse to Tremor raising some debt, especially against the backdrop of Tremor’s earnings potential from this deal and the cash pile that they already have on hand (and growing). Probably the better solution really in this case.

Which brings me back to my earlier post ...re, If the cash element of the deal is fixed, then the number of dormant shares to be issued for the remainder must increase as Tremors share price declines thus leaving Singtel with a larger and sizable % of the new total shares in issue. Could be 16%+ thus weakening the clout/impact and influence of our current bunch of large shareholders. At £3.50 a share, Singtel will have already worked in the growth potential here of their holding. Just a thought.

That was a question I've asked myself. The RNS wording was ambiguous ....re, The Company confirms that it is currently in discussions with Amobee, alongside a number of ongoing strategic discussions with other third parties....made me wonder if there are others involved in the final solution for the Amobee sale and if that solution involves an agreed splitting up of Amobee.

It looks to me that SingTel, since acquiring Amobee about 10 years ago and investing about $1billion into it in addons, that Amobee’s senior management team never had the expertise, and or the vision to execute the business. Result, they’ve failed miserably to make the combo profitable. From where I'm sitting, it all looks to be a bit of a mess really and an a rather expensive failed adventure into adtech for Singtel.
