For ref I had my first delivery and am delighted with quality of fresh meat and veg. 1 bad apple out of 12, and one bad strawberr (350g), bananas, carrots, onions, peppers, spinach in perfect condition. 3 of 6 oranges were on the turn which was only issue.
Had one replacement item, which was fine and told I could get an exchange.
Quality of food seems as good as tesco, Sainsburys. Not eaten anything yet. Very happy food wise.
Service wise I'm even happier. Recived brilliant customer service from delivery man. Explained why he couldn't come in with bags, he was very mindful of customer safety in these times and also very empathetic to those customers who needed help getting shopping in house or taken up stairs for which they can not do currently. My heart was really touched when he said in normal times he would even put food away for some clients (what a man, if indicitive what a company).
He took me through the colour coded bag system (fresh, frozen, other) and that after corona has ended would buy back my plastic bags plus op to one black bag full of other carriers (which I have been collecting without knowing what to do with them).
Told me about the automated picking which was more hygienic.
Did say some customers had complained about the rise in swaps and about dropping at door. But hey we are dealing with world war iii here and they have customers and staff health at heart. Gave him £30 tip.
Sorry long post, I plan to invest for the long term and want to know my money is in good hands. Now I truly belive it is. Oh ye, and staff have shares in company, am big believer in staff incentive schemes.
