I don't dabble much in aims but Spotted Lurcher and his uncle Matlot are into lots of aim's shares. Thanks for that. The deb's is a ratner comments were never challenged as far as I'm aware and yet there are all kinds of comings and goings with options over there. I think I'll steer clear though it has been good to me in the past. Think I'll go for something safe and boring though what that might be these days is anybody's guess.

I don't know why the bbc news was saying this had come out of the blue when we have been talking about it on this bb for a while. I meant multi bagger for the Treasury - no idea if Barr intends to absorb this or pass on to the customer but used to hold shares in thorntons and always thought measures like this were likely. Barr is a company which is diversifying though into products like Strathmore Water and other products which are healthier alternatives. I am not sure it is sugar alone we have to worry about re. obesity and maybe there will be a hot and cold pasty tax next as fat is just as bad so look out Greggs. DD I am still awake and on line because I am trying to organise of all things a holiday. I am thinking if there was any further adjustment to profit projections then the market would have been informed by now, Odey was buying more, the hedge fund shorting was reducing, spd have just raked in more profits from the sale of jd shares, a broker has just stuck its head above the parapet with a £5 price target for what that is worth, the company has pledged to pay above the minimum wage and there is a review of working practices or whatever being undertaken and, despite denials, people must be wondering if a buy back of the company is on the cards which would have to be at a premium. Despite all the bruhaha, some people want to work flexible hours and spd are looking to provide many jobs in an unemployment blackspot viz Dundee in a new gym and retail space at a time when the local council there are looking to axe 200 jobs due to budget cuts so a lot of people are going to start to get impatient with professionals on high salaries like town planners seemingly holding things up. I know I said I wouldn't post again until I had bought back in but.... If somebody is very upset about something that happened in their personal lives just drop it I think. I only bring up rangers because two of the most frequent posters on here were clearly invested there but don't appear to be here and it is so hypocritical to talk about spd as a bad employer when you look at Rangers and other Scottish companies over they years and because I went to a job interview where I was asked several times what football team I supported rather than bluntly what religion, if any, I had or what type of school I went to as it was not clear from the name. I was head hunted and offered a job I couldn't do either - well not on day one in the post - by a former chairman of a football club just because I had gone to the right type of school for him. I was invested last year in barcs but can't remember anybody going on about any moral issues on the bb.
