Hi Midway. I don't mind spending a bit if time posting on and reading one share chat site (occasionally you will find a very thought provoking and useful post) but I am not frittering my life away on social media. I have a few real friends who cheer me on through life's important vicissitudes which doesn't involve share dealing. I'm one of the long term survivors on these bbs and it might actually be good for genuine newbies to see folk like me around. I tend to steer clear of Aims and small caps which are easy targets for the pump and dump manipulators which I can spot a mile off. Being able to spot that and read between the lines in rnses got me out of one potentially tricky situation where the company went bump a month after the pumpers arrived en masse. If you invade their territory then you will find they are uncomfortable about interacting with you because you might ask them something pointed and, of course, they can only really chat to the like minded herd. That's not to say there are not some good investment opportunities in Aims or undervalued small caps. Wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth but fortunately nothing wrong with my brain which is why I can make a decent living which has nothing to do with shares.
