Well I know what you think about the bbc and I have to say that they have had a story nightly almost for over a month about the nhs in crisis and it is difficult to know if they are hyping it up just a trifle to undermine the government though don't think there is any danger of untoppling it - well not any time soon anyway. I've taken more of an interest because I had so many relatives in the hospital over the festive period and can actually say that many things aint how they should be or were in the past. You'll need to go private if Miss Piggy goes into labour in Glasgow as the new "super" hospital was turning women away saying they were full - gives a whole new meaning to no room at the inn and no crib for a bed and in a way might be another form of milk snatching. I tried to rent a thatched cottage in Somerset for next month and the guy seemed happy enough with the agreed price at first but then he must have realised it was half term and St Valentines week and he could have commanded a higher rental so he gave me some story about the rental being from Friday to Friday instead of Saturday to Saturday and of course I can't keep daughter off school on an illegal day to drive down a day early and she wouldn't want to stay off anyway for an extra day - very studious child that one. Told him I would check out a day early to allow him to stage a dinner party and he said that was jolly good of me and he offered a discount though not a proportionate one for a day less so I told him politely the deal was off and have luckily found something nicer near Jane Austen territory. I think Russell was loading up with skimpy swim shorts and other sportswear for Miss Piggy's delectation so I guess he has forgotten about his bank shares for a while lol atb.

Spotted I think is the great leveller. I was driving an old buffer a great distance under extreme circumstances for both of us and he told me the greatest thing Margaret Thatcher had done for him was give him the right to buy his new town development corporation home. My only reply was that my own mother's Glasgow cooncil hoose hadn't been worth buying and the rain kept falling on my books. They did us proud at the Catholic school though and really quite anti prejudice teaching going on there, Harper Lee and the struggles of Atticus Finch, the Diary of Anne Frank - that was really harsh living conditions in comparison with a drop of water. Who would have thought that half a million paid to a major house builder makes little difference in the rain! I need a few more hoc and petra diamonds turnarounds to fund a bespoke toff's house like yours or there again that's no guarantee either that you wont get wet in your own house. No floods this year so far for some poor souls. LOL Phone has gone. My Garrett Anderson skills are required somewhere new this aft although this one could be a down in sympathy with the rest of them situation so going to meander there slowly via the shops and see if I can get a few cosy cardys. Been borrowing daughter's size 6s but a bit uncomfortable now after figgy puddings. Have a good weekend and GL for 2017.

both. SL - I have had the rain pouring in through the roof as well. NHBC covered. Fixed and moved to another spot. Builder said new problem but NHBC inspector said same problem just water ingress point depends on wind direction so ordered them to fix again and again and again lol. Best just to regard it as an indoor water fountain. Bit chilly here so think the sable you promised me would be more good than a skimpy dress. Hi Gerry, I've just felt for years now that Next was for people with more money than sense and if there is less money about well then... You were asking what I've bought from debs lately. Well I ended up with two festive bouquets intended for other folk. One passed away and the other was in the hospital and they don't seem to encourage blooms these days but had another 2 more distant relatives also in hospital over Christmas so well travelled this year. I got some red pots and pans, some clarins and the kids got clothes though some were from Miss Selfridge in store. A "snowball" is a Scottish delicacy made by Lees or Tunnocks of Uddingston beloved by toothless pensioners at the bingo because of the soft centre but for others the coconut exterior sticks in the teeth. They sell very well and I doubt if the two companies would give out work placements to people with economics degrees from the old polys which now purport to be universities. Have a good weekend.

Anybody who bought kaz and glen at their lows last year and held are skiing or able to afford expensive champagne rehab clinics in Switzerland. Those who traded for a penny profit here and there only have a snowball to look forward to with their afternoon cuppa.

Morning Gerry, I think I'll just have to refer you back to my original response and that was that I don't consider Next to be a retail bellwether. Will be interesting to see if Sergio has been focussing on increased profits from sales made as there has certainly been less frequent discounting for cardholders and I wonder why that was or if it wasn't necessary. atb.

Joy and relief indeed as I had bought these before the Times tip. Always nice to find the newspapers tipping your shares rather than bashing them and the ensuing result. Know a few start of year tips that have not gone so well but think I better quit while I am ahead. Good luck to the remainers.
