as it hit a year low unjustifiably I think and Friday's rns isn't indicating weak management to me "LFL sales over the three Christmas weeks were up 4.5%, despite tough comparisons with the previous Christmas. Sales were driven by particularly strong growth in London. We again broke our record for Christmas Day with sales of £7.4m, up 6.0% on the previous year."
GoldAnOil I disagree with your comments about the Hungry Horse. It was previously a Tesco clubcard partner but it is always more profitable to get punters to pay with money rather than vouchers. In East Kilbride new town (no Tesco there ironically), it has two branches which are located in the two areas of the town with the most upmarket houses viz. Stewartfield and Lindsayfield not that money can guarantee the quality of the clientele in my opinion but I never had any problem with the quality of the fayre on offer though it wasn't overly cheap in my view. I sympathise with you about parents who cannot keep their children under control but this is not a Hungry Horse issue regrettably but a wider problem in modern society. Neighbour is a paediatrician and thinks it is okay for his kids to thump a football off my cars and trample my crocus retrieving the thing. The guy is the chairman of the PTA and the primary school is encouraging kids to care for gardens in what is a socially mixed school. He sees no safety issues in the skinniest kid in the group (not his) crawling under my car parked on a slight gradient to get a trapped football. On the other hand, kids from the poorer end of town listened when I told them not to shake the blossom off the council's cherry trees as it was only there for a few weeks and made the town look nice. As I say, bad behaviour not something you can pin exclusively on Hungry Horse tiny diners or their cider swilling dads. Good luck.
