Proposed Directors of Tirupati Graphite explain why they have requisitioned an GM. Watch the video here.
I joking said this would be 10p in June or July because I think Liberum hyped this up big time. On the face of it, footwear should be tried on in a store and not bought on line if you want to avoid bruised toes, bunions etc. but they are up against absolute giants like jd and spd. Somebody says they are for the young and trend but my kids had never heard of them. Maybe if they offer a student discount they should head out and promote themselves during the freshers weeks at the campuses. Sorry for any genuine investors here but not for any pump and dumpers, rampers and derampers.
Most bearish broker on Debenhams seem to be way off target in their bullish views on Foot Asylum which is down nearly 50% today. Seems the brokers are only human after all but maybe some are more human than others.
Hi knigelk, sorry for the delay in responding - sometimes real life gets in the way. As a long only trader who has been posting on at least two fora on debs for a while, you must be aware that the last significant upward movement was related to HoF cva news so I can't agree with your comments in another place that what happens there is of no relevance here. Their warehouses are shut again and MA will not be attending spd agm citing heavy workload. There was a James Bond 007 poster on here saying the hash being made by spd of HoF was a deliberate ploy to kill off deb's competition. Maybe the only thing that poster got wrong was in thinking it was deliberate.
I sold cupid. I think it became a cash shell investment co called Castle. On the pump and dumps on Aims and small caps, I have been around for ages too and can spot them a mile off. I've got my beady eye on a spd poster in the other place who has started to knock debs as is chief orchestrator of many a share bash and p and d. Good luck if you decide to dip your toes
Hi Knigelk, I agree that you get a different class of poster on the Aims company bbs which is funnily enough is where our paths first crossed on the former cupid bb. I am sure you bought but was not aware of you selling.
What do you think of the articles posted on here re. click and collect, one intimating that it is up by 10% at debs this year. I would conclude from that that though it is not something you or I do very often, it is popular with others whose neighbours are probably fed up taking in their parcels and possibly that the other click and collection efforts are bearing fruit.
On the class thing on another former, I think you would have to say that Frasers had reduced numbers of shoppers left of any class but they sold a lot more than just Mulberry handbags which is why the website being down and the news of branch closures is of complete relevance here.

This isn't me by the way Rus. I wasn't posh enough for a Saturday job there and I probably had a less desirable Glasgow postal code at the time. Too bright though for Napier or to be a copy girl. There was no cottage industries on Coll that I could see and not even enough food for sale so I guess the face creams didn't last. Your Edinburgh hosts maybe found the smoked alligator from the Jenners Foodhall was out of stock or they were hiding it in the deep freezer. Best fish tea Ansturther and not oddly enough the Rogano. Did you try an Arbroath smokie or a Finnan Haddie. My hopes for Geordie boy Sting fan of the tantric sex taking over long gone and I prefer Richard Thompson now anyway.
Debenhams sixth most reputable http://www.thebusinessdesk.com/eastmidlands/news/2017480-sports-direct-named-uk%e2%80%99s-least-reputable-retailer
Was there not some other thing recently put spd ahead of Apple for summit.

Kevin Sweeney sounds like a Celtic supporter Russell
Any one of a number of catalysts could cause this to turn sour and if there is nothing in writing then it is an extremely risky sport to be engaging in. If John Lewis are reporting an uplift in trading then you can only assume that the prevailing chaos at HoF is having a ripple effect. The forthcoming agm of spd should be of interest to see what support the chief exec. gets and it will be also be of interest to see if the deb's institutional investor who spoke out this week is happy to add.
I am sending you a big bottle of liquid Daz and a range of washing tablets and gels to cheer up your Monday morning laundry blues. Seriously they will revolutionise your shopping habits with the big 10kg packs of damp powder from ebay being confined to the past. I took over my mother in law's laundry last year due to her advancing years and we have never looked back.
Merger between deb and HoF - well good to see they both are not afraid to use models with dark coloured skin in these modern times. I see Mike CAshley is facing more shareholder unrest at the forthcoming AGM of spd. This from the Retail Gazette "Glass Lewis also pointed to the retailers “poor gender diversity practices”, arguing that Sports Direct does not have a meaningful board diversity policy or measurable gender objectives"
If click and collect is up as well as posted by somebody else on here maybe Mike should take a leaf out of Sergio's book rather than the other way round.
"The "department store" era is over" don't know about that but the era of it always being men in grey suits in the top jobs is over which is good news for top performing girls going into accountancy and their mums.
Well the sooner the rocket arrives the better. Used to see a poster called steelbawsfaeglesca but you are not he because he was invariably a pessimist and sure glad you didn't say sit back, strap in and enjoy the ride because I've heard that one before and it was very bumpy.
Welcome back Gerry. Hope you had a good holiday. Got my target price here so took it. The family were starving and I needed the money.
I do and make purchases. I would recommend the shops as opposed to on line for bra measuring, shoes in particular for trying on for comfort before buying and testing for the right shade of make up before having a smoothie. Last time, there was a sign up at the clarins counter saying 30 minute treatment in progress which I presume you cannot get on line and a redirection to another counter for assistance. Google seems to indicate debs is nearer to a tube station in the capital than HoF or the defunct bhs but wouldn't know.
Liberum point already covered on this bb along with observations re. the tumble in price of Foot since flotation so way off target there as were some of the price calls on here at the time.
Has Odey taken out a short on them this aft or will they go up in a big smoke cos chief is female. After gsk comments let's not go there. Google seems to place debs nearer the tube station than HoF or bhs lol. Clearly I think he has taken over the wrong dept. store but time will tell and Oxford Street and 3 of the 4 in Scotland are probably the least of his troubles even if gers supporters don't like and the other weaker one probably has a new tenant going in anyhow next month.
Mike maybe needing the £45 gents moisturiser from the clarins counter? I see the toon folk's redirect inspired Mike to redirect folk from the down HoF website to Flannels. . I did get the rocket man starter for 10 on uni challenge question right last night and the other pop music questions and a few others though I hold up my hands to never having owned a Mulberry handbag but keep a brick in my deb's own label and Radley bags and admitting that the new Flannels in Silverburn can't count on me. Jings it's in an area previously labelled as being deprived. Better at the Avenue at Mearns?. LOL I hope your Edinburgh relatives were hospitable. The Jenners ladies who lunch
would normally say "you'll have had your tea" ie already. Wonder if they will stock a McAshley tartan tie.
You not at the Lehman Bros staff reunion Rus? Sounded like Sarah Smith on radio 4 grilling a guy about the canopies and champers of all things. Did okay every time with spd shares so patience will probably pay off. Pity no dividend in the meantime. Sounds like a website redirection.
no longer facing the axe. Is that good news or bad news city boys. I like cleaner air so never been in the big smoke for years. Is the HoF well positioned?
Despite all the news flagged up by lse red dots, no discussion for ages on the spd bb. I posted this today:
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2018/08/20/high-street-banks-could-go-way-department-stores-says-hedge/
If spd "invested" in HoF to the tune of 11% pre administration and is currently invested in debs to the tune of 30%, one wonders why Odey remains invested in spd? I can only assume a bright future is seen ahead for one or both department stores. Wonder why that is. The deb's share price has fallen back since the introduction of spd in store concessions so they're maybe no good or not the saviour anyway. Guess the deb share price would get a boost if Odey closed his shorts there or reduced like other hedge funds more than if Sergio Bucher deb CEO decided to charge for click and collect as suggested by Mike Ashley. Moribund bb at the minute and not invested but just fascinated to learn like DD.
apparently reprieved. Is this bad news for debs? Heard the deb's store is in the optimum location for new transport links but haven't been in the big smoke for a while so can't recall who is where.

Today and yesterday but no comment. I suppose I note the previous posts on the HoF purchase. spd paid 90 million, the web site is down and the administrators state that they were on the verge of letting it go for £1.
