Hi Pearls I think you have misunderstood my post. I was shopping on line at Debenhams and had 23 different hairdryers to choose from which is choice enough for me and anybody can go on line and check this out though I have no idea how many of each were in stock but it is unimportant as I probably wouldn't be buying 2 identical hairdryers on the same day unless one was a gift and there is even less chance of me wanting to buy 2 identical items of clothing for my son unless one was a different colour or it was a school uniform item in which case all shops' stocks are depleted at this time of year. Since time immemorial, shops have run out of certain sizes of garments quickly. My late mother-in-law used to try to put her size to the back of the rails in M & S in the hope that the item would get reduced but invariably it got sold before her next visit.
spd have a strong customer base in sports and leisurewear but in Jenners Loch Lomond today, the foodhall was looking a shadow of its former self with empty fridges and reduced Ayrshire bacon near its use by date and the Barbour jarred with the Firetrap stuff no doubt brought in to fill the space created by suppliers who have pulled out of HoF. On Jeremey Vine's Radio 2 programme last week, the number of disgruntled HoF customers was given an airing. Would you return to a store if they had failed to supply a fully paid sofa or not honoured a gift card regardless of a change of ownership. No nor would I. Sorry I didn't have much time to do much other than collect my parcel from debs later but didn't spot any empty shelves or rails. Far from being a strong parent, you might find spd have bitten off more than they can chew with HoF. Certainly not many buyers of spd stock in evidence on the bb at the moment.
