Surely or should i say Shirley, if Zaza or SN sold ANY it has to be reported within days
I counted around 1.5 - 2m shares sold since April.
That would indicate as you say a number of opportunists, but most would need to be more than one involved.

The only one that would not is the board

I thought they would have to notify us within 3 days, although Todd Kozel did not before i lost a fortune on GKP.

Can you or someone confirm - does the board if they sell any have to notify the market.

If Zaza or SN were to be selling now then its not a indication of the huge upside we have been led to believe is possible

firstly , personally i see no harm over the weekend as thats when we have time to look at the other opportunities out there.
We then have a choice to either click it or not, then to join or not.

The World is constantly changing and the next big thing may well be out there, some of us may feel left behind with fashion, computers and other disruptive technology, Left behind is what we then could be as things will move on wether we like it or not. I like that its not quoted by the company that FRR signed MOU, but the Subsidiary Frontera Georgia, may be reading to much but quite possible that Frontera Eastern Georgia is being considered for a full buy out in the future leaving FRR and its other satellites to continue.

The writing was on the wall, they drilled when next door they already knew that the 3d data they thought was oil, was in fact water.
They went after another company to drill, yet they did not take into account the failure next door. To postpone the drill and pay any penalties may have been much more prudent. It was like being told something important and ignoring it. Quite easy to do when the cost is covered by someone else. Would you do it with your own cash?
I suggest if it was someone using their own cash they would be much more cautious.

So now we are sat with a lot less cash, and an unclear plan for the future.

Firstly you need to recognise it as a spike, is it a spike? are you sure?
This may well be part of a sustained rise.
There is a 50/50 chance that we see a drop tomorrow, even if it happened it could recover within a few hours of opening and continue on an upward trend.
i do not mean to be rude, but you sound rather worried tonight and almost like you're trying to convince yourself that a drop will happen. its like you're trying to tell other investors to sell as a drop is almost guaranteed.

Those companies that do fail will still hold value for investors, dependant on when they buy or sell.

then you have the 10% who do not fail, some go on to become FTSE 250 or FTSE 100 companies

So i would lose money that i could afford to risk

The next week shares get suspended
Exxon announced as a complete buy out for FRR

So shorting really is gambling with what you do not have as sky is limit

Many cover it with a long, they buy £100,000 long
£50,000 short

Now they hope price goes down, then they close short and add profit
Then hope long works for them too.
If the price rises fast first, say by 50% then they lose on the short (25k) but win on the long (50k)

That takes a lot of money to make worthwhile , and of course limits any gains you hope to make. You can also lose more than you make if price just goes down, but it would cover both ways.
personally i prefer to back a company based on research and play the long game - there again i am just a public sector worker ,

Every year , around the xmas period you hear about buy outs and take overs
recent years have often seen pharmaceutical companies involved in mergers, buyouts etc

Its for a reason, a company can utilise its money against tax by using it to buy an asset before end of the year or early in the year dependant on where its tax liabilities will lie.

The oil companies have been in the doldrums over the recent past, Environmental issues including climate change agreements causing some uncertainty, Economic downturn that although around 10 years ago - we only recently have emerged from and of course the dip we had in oil prices.
We all saw the shale issues in Usa and rig counts go down, investment went down and so did exploration.

What normally follows as the sector emerges from a down turn is a sustained frenzy of acquisitions, buyouts and ventures. This is to insure for upstream production, to increase production with increased demand and a catch up all the years of missed growth and expansions.
There will be some movement of assets, some fields closed or sold my a major to a smaller group of companies, and same time new areas of interest will become apparent, this is just adjusting to worldwide demand and technical adjustments to increase profitability.
IF FRR have anything like we believe ( it looks increasingly likely) then its in right place, at right time and its very cheap to exploit the hydrocarbons being on land and near transportation links (pipelines) It also is close to the market that you want to fulfil. FRR is split into many different companies -Frontera eastern Georgia being one, So do not rule out a big deal between now and Early 2019. The big companies are hungry for long term assets and if this is one, they will want it.
Patience may still be key - but everything points to there being valuable large scale assets in Georgia, Exxon in Western Georgia with year on year drop in hydrocarbon production in the country? Sorry folks but something has told Exxon that georgia is holding something of interest and i think FRR have proved that to them

Those sells may also be trades for buying and again mms need to check price.
I think shorters are being taught a very good lesson here.

What we need now is the BOD to make a top up and panic buying would almost certainly follow.

Its strange that this afternoon buying suddenly perked up, almost like something had leaked.

These are when large trades are in the pot, the Mms stop trading to look at the price and direction to protect them selves. They do not want to accept a sell for 0.51 to find buyers paying 0.49

So it gives them a chance to look at the book

I think they could well be a 17m sell, but thats fairly normal
If someone brought for 0.24 back in August and doubled their money today - good luck to them.

Yes they may have held and made a lot more, but thats not everyones strategy. Some are in and out relatively quick trying to play the markets.

These may even be desperate shorter's trying to get out (ouch!)

The important bit for me is strength of the finish, the technicals also show higher highs and higher lows.

The box is full and slowly people are starting to realise that. Wshak on twitter was suggesting this MOU was useless. I so hope he kept his short open.
This time last year FRR was high risk, this last week that risk has been reduced by a significant amount.

i think that RNS shows that my post at 22:21 last night was very accurate.

When a company is up for sale or up for a JV you do not want to look desperate.
If a super Major thought that without them, FRR could not cope, the deal would be very weak for FRR.

FRR have shown they have a plan forward. We have a method and partner to take the oil into production and increase due diligence on the data.
We are not desperate and can now walk away from the table if we need to, Baker Hughes is probably all we would need to slowly but in a sustained manner move forwards towards financial security.

This may speed up the decision making of any majors sat pondering, where they may have been considering a cheeky bid, the security this gives FRR , may make those bids get replaced my better deals.
the best sign FRR can put up is the " We are not for sale" sign. I have seen many companies do this and funny enough a too good to refuse offer then follows.

Now BHGE is a major oil and gas service company. Not a Oil and gas Major
however looking at previous RNS and we get
Data Exchange Agreements with two industry majors with a view to progressing possible transactions involving a farmout or joint operating agreement.
Industry majors (Super Majors in the meeting) could mean Baker Hughes. They are Industry Majors.
However there is at least one other on the sideline, i would suggest that BHGE were the one closest to deal back a month ago. The big question is who is the other one.

What is important for me is, the deal takes us forward. it takes a lot of risk away from the company. If no one else makes a move for a while, we have ability now to take the field plan forwards. That plan has a snowball effect for revenue. It increases profitability with each work over or new well and also increases the data knowledge.
Finally, what made Exxon suddenly decide to explore Western Georgia. Recent years of decline in Oil produced in Georgia and Exxon suddenly want to join in ! They are not in it to be charitable, something in that near region has made them decide to spend billions taking a look for themselves. It may be a sweetener for a deal as some have suggested, what ever it is, they believe some value in hydrocarbons is under that rock. We may or may not get another major in before Christmas, but i suspect a field plan of significance will become evident and the flow rates likely in next two months too.
Will Santa deliver for xmas? I am not sure, but i feel it will be a very happy new year.

I seem to be too honest, maybe due to that i will never become satisfactorily wealthy with money.
However perhaps my honour and integrity is worth more than any money, i mean what does bring happiness.

Wealth can be measured in assets and cash, but can also be measured in health and happiness.
After all what good is all that cash, if your then struck down with terminal illness, what good is that cash if you have no one to enjoy it with?

I may be a sad loser believing in FRR, dreaming, but my wealth is that honesty and integrity. I can still hold my head up high when we meet and have a pint together at the meetings. People smile and say hello.

See i read that another way
I saw it as any oil or gas that BHGE exploit during the term, the income from that will be shared with FRR

So i read it as BHGE will drill and explore for hydrocarbons, and what they produce will be shared by them and us
